We have reached end stage DGR.
Seth is now trying to become the Seth of old: frequent vlogs from an uninsulated shed, acting like a guru, being snarky to outsiders and new viewers, running the same old tropes and peek-a-boo games. It’s like the reboot of an old show or movie franchise but with no new ideas.
Unless he has a huge trust fund or legal settlement that he’s living off, the merch sales and the Google ad dollars are not enough to sustain his lifestyle. The return to his old format indicates to me that his outside employment prospects aren’t great and that this is all he knows how to do? Can’t make money doing Uber in a big pickup or SUV.
If a DGR family member want to set the record straight, I’m all ears. But if families with two good incomes and moderate sized mortgages are struggling in this economy, I don’t see how a large family with a $1 million house is fiscally thriving on Adsense money and sock/coffee mug sales.
