Who are the assistants that left him? And did they leave because he's not a good head coach or because working for him led to better opportunities?

With the ND hire bust and the fact that most UK coaches are being retained, it looks like there will be far fewer major moves than predicted. Flo is going to have to rehire at least some of the Texas staff., the ND staff will stay intact, no moves at Stanford.........The biggest unknown right now is who takes the UNC job, which could be filled by the current assistant. This is shaping up to be a disappointing offseason.
I think you’re forgetting that the 2 posistions in Eugene. Those could start a domino effect all over again. Hard to imagine there not being at least 1 or 2 big names moved that cause some shakeups.

Sparks got the job by default, but that is okay, he has the job and all of you don't. But don't think for a second that multiple nationally ranked head coaches did not pursue the job. They did. But very quickly everyone knew that for whatever reason the Notre Dame administration decided to lowball the position. This is an embarrassment. A athletic department that is flush with cash could have had a nice salary for both head coach and assistants. And yes, Sparks is known through the coaching profession as a negative recruiter and backstabber. That goes way back to his early days. Coach Garnham is incredibly talented, and for Sparks to can him just an example of how he does not know the art of being a head coach. Notre Dame will not return to the level they did during Coach Piane's tenure and sink into the dark deep hole.

When you say lowball--what are we talking about? 150? 125?
And if the HC is around those numbers, what are the assistants making?
