I'm hoping more athletes will drop out at the half-marathon, it would even allow them to run another big full marathon few months later in better conditions.

They're dropping like flies. Josh Cox said Magness directed Groner to back off by 20 - 25 seconds from 'usual' race pace. Still sounds too fast to me. I'd give up at least 45 seconds until 20 mile mark.

In pre-race interview Coach Jacob Phillips of Kelsey Bruce (USA) prescribed efforts of 6:30-6:20-6:10-6:00/mi for each 10km split... should be interesting how much she can move up the field!
