I don't know. In a final 400m sprint in a marathon is different from the track or even the half marathon. I think Galen can out kick Mo if it comes down to a sprint finish. Rupp looks like the more economical marathon runner.

there are women with 33:xx PB who use to go out in 34:30, so yeah, it should be rather comfortable for Gwen who has a PB of 31:55.

FYI, the leadeboard page is amazing. You can do like top 30 per gender and see their projected pace.

I just saw Gwen at 16k. Both her and Pappas looked to be in considerable distress already. Hope they can finish well.

Kicking when you have 26 miles in your legs is different from kicking when you only have 3-6 miles in your legs. Besides Kirui will probably win.

Kirui is best in the world besides Kipchoge for the last 2 years. I mean in Boston this year, he looked bored until he cramped up.

What he needs to do is SIT ON the pacers so they freakin MOVE, and then STAY ON THEM.

Every time they feel space behind them, they ease off.

And we have him surging up to them every few minutes, while everyone else wisely relaxes.
