Why stop? Diniz has shown how it's done.

Great Ethiopia's Tesfaye Abera is getting dropped. He was my pick for 3rd. If he doesn't get 3rd I can't win my Prediction contest group.
If I'd known he was 6'4, I'd never have picked him in a hot marathon. NEver.
Damn me for not being informed.
hawkins with his baseball cap on backwards, looks like the fresh prince of bel-air babie
Rupp looks great. No promise of what's to come, but the slower the pace the more it favors him.

What is Callum Hawkins's story?
No breaks in BBC stream: http://stream.nbcolympics.com/track-and-field-men-marathon
Abera already dropped.
Should have picked Kenny.

LOL, expect a huge move at 30K.
DNF for Abera.
Jared Ward looks good chilling right behind the leaders. It will be interesting to see if he can hang when the real racing starts.
Have to watch nbc :/

Go Hawkins, go for Scotland.
anyone know if there's a way to just LISTEN to the broadcast anywhere? i don't have a "cable provider" and im at work...
More uniform/equipment questions: Would you tie your shoelaces differently or use different shoelaces for a rainy race? Would you wear different shoes for a rainy race? Looks like folks are having problems along those lines.
I remember Eric Segal (the John Tesh of running commentary) saying something about \"you would never wear socks in a marathon\" as the East German doper was winning in 1976 with socks on.
One Ethiopian out
I saw the misting machine. But where are the live bands, cheerleaders, Gallowalkers and cowbells I see at most marathons?

Great observation.
I found a loophole.
It's alraedy Monday in New Zealand. Maybe he's operating on New Zealand time.
Haha, no loophole needed. What many fail to understand, is that most of the choices "mormons" make are not because of hard set rules given by the church, but are based on personal choices we each make as to how we will personally live our lives.
For example, I do my best to "keep the Sabbath holy" as we refer to it, but I recognize that as a future doctor, there will be times that I will be called upon to work at the hospital on Sundays and that is something that I will willfully accept. Others may go to great lengths to avoid ever working on Sundays while some may not care at all. It is a personal choice.
Likewise, Ward doesn't train on Sundays and does his best to "control the controllables". He's run Sunday races in the past when necessary, but that doesn't mean he can't do his best to follow his beliefs and continue training 6 days a week.
when is the next hat station?
