Agreed. Regardless of whether anything else happens to Cap, Salazar or the NOP going forward, I think the things that have become public knowledge in the last couple of months will make it harder for Nike to have the same stranglehold on top talent that it's had up until now.
I'd love to know if Mary Cain's parents would make the same decision again now.
Is it me, or is the guy that wrote this POS the designated apologist for the Brooks Beasts? I have no dog in this fight other than Llewelyn, Rob, Ben & Cap, but Gugala seems to have something against Nike athletes/coaches/staff. Did this jabroni do something to piss off the mafia?
You have no dog in this fight except three of the main characters in the fight? So many idiotic posts makes it hard to follow. You have to constantly educate people just to talk or argue with them.
I have not used NIKE products since they bought out USATF.

Where I work this would be a IMMDEIATE FIRING offense. They wouldn't even let you into the parking lot.

Interesting that no one has come in and defended Cap., no friends, ex-teammates, former athletes...no one. Seems like the guy has quite the reputation and without Steve Miller he would be coaching at some high school in Kansas.
You know he Capriotti was fired from K State for paying his athletes on the side, breaking NCAA rules. Hard to believe Nike would give him a job like this with that rep.

Heard that even under Miller as an assistant at K-State Cap nearly came to blows with athletes. Anoter interesting fact in all of this is that Miller sat on the Brooks board for a short time.

I can tell you for this to happen in public something was said that really upset him. Obviously he made a mistake and I'm sure he regrets it. You guys have never lost it ever? It can happen.
