Did Calvin and Steven Point run everyone? I did notice one of the calvin guys whose name I knew from past years was way back, as was Kaul. Anyone have any info on whose hurt or not on any of those teams?

NC definitely held out at least one of their top athletes. That's scary, because Calvin ran their best guys, as did Stevens Point. It seems like they've been overlooked because of their performances at NCAAs the last few years, but they return 4 guys from the outdoor 5k list.
I was at the "pre-nats" race at Hanover this weekend. The facilities and course at Hanover are a massive step down from what they were at St. Olaf last year. Why in the world are nationals being held at this field in the middle of nowhere?

Because they will host, which is tough to do. Not every school has a 300 Million Dollar endowment. Be thankful that you have a chance to compete.
i've noticed in past years that Calvin didn't run as well at Notre Dame as they did at nationals...maybe what they're doing with their training, who knows, but I wouldn't read too much into it.
Props to NCC though, looked great!
NC definately ran their best guys and for the most part they all ran really well. Calvin had a tough race. one of their top guys was way back and nobody on the team ran well at all. Not takin anything away from NC they ran a great race, but I'm looking forward to the Oshkosh meet in a couple of weeks when these teams face off again. My bet is that Calvin will look like a different team.
anyone have any news on willy kaul? he was as big a favorite for second at nats as there was and he looks pretty sucky so far.

Looks to me like NC was missing at least one 14:30ish guy and their number one from the Oshkosh results last year. Big gap to their 5th man, did they run a split squad? I haven't checked through the other meet results

Geneseo get a stud recruit, Lee Burube. Last year in high school, he ran 4:19 1600 and 9:07 3200. He came into this season a little banged up, so he has not shown to much yet. This past weekend at the Geneseo Invite, Lee went out very conservative for the first 5K, then blasted the last 3K. His last two miles he ran in 9:40. Watch out for Lee to make an impact at nationals.

Kaul had a pretty big lead at 2M when he turned a corner and was hit broadside by a golf cart. He flew through the front seat and crawled over the driver, and continued to run but eventually lost the pace. It was unfortunate and I understand that legal counsel has been engaged by Notre Dame to protect against any lawsuits. A-Mac may be a star witness as he was close by.
Also, I heard he will run in 2 weeks, the injury is not serious.
what is wrong about what was said about Lee Burube???
