If it were as simple as sharing prescription drugs we would have heard about it, from him, one of the others, or ISU. The silence from all speaks volumes.
Facts seem really hard for you to grasp. A guy who is a bench warmer transfers to a school close to home thst costs less money where he can be national champ and you think it is an odd decision? You may want to take a class in decision making.
I will say this. I thought Rowan was private, not public.
But it’s still an incredibly odd decision. As someone said, it’s not like he went to Penn. That would be worth it. Rowan? not so much.
Rowan is about $40K while Penn is about $100K. Nice that you can determine which one is a better deal for the family.
Doubtful that Seth or his family are paying 40K for him to attend Rowan University and I'm thinking he's on some kind of scholarship or aid based on his family's income.
I'm still kind of flabbergasted by all the bad vibes directed at this athlete (S C.) yes he was no choir boy but I think it's over the top to condemn him as much as appears to be the case right now and I think it's time we let him get on with his life in peace without all this innuendo and backstabbing.
People mention prescription drugs being handled and given to other athletes but nobody really knows the true story.
If S.C. was really even half as bad as people make him out to be in terms of infractions I don't think there's any way that Rowan University would have accepted him.
The university would not jeopardize their position and credibility by accepting someone who committed an egregious offense - it's not going to happen.
No, but $40,000 is still a big chunk of change. Imho, US University fees are ridiculously expensive for the ROI, unless you're studying something like medicine with big payback...once graduated...but people paying $40k to study sociology, history or art history... Seems crazy.
Seth ClevengerDistance - Awards and Honors Big 12 Commissioner's Honor Roll (F22, S23, F23, S24, F24) Academic All-Big 12 First Team (T&F: 2024) Academic All...
Starting pay around $50k but I wouldn't expect career progression.
The way I see it, but not everybody agrees with me, is that elite runners like this guy Seth C. - have transferable skills thanks to their discipline and dedication to task and I've also heard that SC comes from a family that is not exactly poor so there may be different plans once he graduates.
I hope Seth can learn from any mistakes he may have made in the past and move on and eventually regain the trust and admiration/respect of the public at large.
