Hassan is just good, any course any conditions. She's a winner. She's not the fastest time trialer and may not have the fastest times across the different distances, but she's a beast when it comes to racing. If she shows up fit, I'll pick her to beat the current marathoners in any race. They can't drop her and they certainly can't close her down over the last K or two. Her last race in London, she was not close to her peak fitness.
Agreed.
Do we know where she's racing next?
No idea, but let's hope for Boston!!
I think she's done with the track, or she should be.

The women's coverage was the worst I've seen. A few shots on the way round and the finish for Hassan... there's more shots of YouTubers from the side of the road available to watch online than the women got at Sydney. What a farce
Only 3 down votes. 3 idiots. Have you people actually raced? DeCastella ran 2:07:50 nearly 40 years ago in rubbish shoes and you don't think that should be a consideration? Frank ran 2:10 in 1973 in Tiger Ohbori and you think that plate shoes wouldn't've made a difference? Consider the Rio Olympic men's marathon; with the plate shoes the top 3 would've been entirely different. These type of reflections can be applied to any era. That's why times are irrelevant. Greatness is measured always on results - dummies.
yep agreed, TNT coverage has been woeful. Countless random cuts to ads, missed pretty much all key moments of the race. Not to forget wheelchair interviews without audio (about as good as it gets).
TNT were utterly hamstrung by the terrible "world feed" Australian TV were supplying. Ads for Porsche Macans, along with loads of other randomness, just randomly shoved in!
At what point do Abbott and their various partners say "enough is enough" we want dedicated comms, and a dedicated director who understands the race. Else we're pulling our sponsorship deals.
Imagine if this low effort level of coverage was applied to any other major sport. Like F1 or Tennis?

Patronising people who think its "wonderful" and "super" that those without functioning legs can push a wheelchair "all that way" So they can pretend they care about disabled rights or something on linkedin
Its incredibly boring to watch Hug and Scaroni drop everyone and time trial it in at every Major! Literally no jeopardy. Once at the front they are never caught!
