We have due process as well as a presumption of innocence in this country. The President can't just label someone a terrorist or a gang member and get them sent to jail, there has to be evidence and it has to be proved that they are in court. The Venezuelan gangs are a problem and need to be dealt with, but why can't we deal with it in accordance with our laws? If one's a criminal, then try and convict them. If someone is illegal and hasn't committed any other crime, then deport them back to their country.

If by founders you mean the folks that signed the Declaration of Independence, roughly half were Democratic-Republicans who generally opposed the Alien and Sedition Acts, including the Alien Enemies Act. The Acts were debated extensively in Congress, and eventually passed after multiple votes and amendments. Overreach by the Federalist Party (the conservatives) who supported the Alien and Sedition Acts, led the downfall of the party. Jefferson pardoned folks still imprisoned by the Acts and Congress repaid their fines. So, once again, you're wrong: the founders WOULD be more offended by their own act than you think.
