Graham 26:57
Ishmael MF Kipkurui. The true talent emerges.
Kipkurui wins in 26:50ish, NCAA record. Blanks still gets the standard
55.82 final lap from Kipkurui. Another boss finish.
Santiago corona has really improved the past few yrs. Coaching change?
Bekele probably ran 26:38-39 for 10k

Bekele's 26:50ish for 10100 meters or something ain't bad either, how far back was he exactly when the gun fired?

This could be the beginning of something special - although something tells me this guy isn't gonna be an amateur in the NCAA for very long.
What a close by Kipkuri. Shot out of a cannon
Kipkurui and Kemboi both freshmen. Dave Smith needs to follow New Mexico on their next recruiting trip to Kenya.
I can't wait to see what Graham Blanks can do once he's graduated and is living at altitude. 26:57 guy still in college doing a bunch of the work for a sub-27.

55.82 last lap . . . much faster than Grant's 56.78 closer last year when he won in 26:52.
And, 3 guys ahead of 12:42/5000 guy Bekele . . . although we have to wonder, what would have been, if not for the starting line screw-up . . .

he's had some bad luck in races, bet he wants to get that NCAA record.

Yeah and he led some laps. I’d agree he had the most impressive performance perhaps, but he is a 12:42 guy.
