Man I feel so bad for those fancy d3 schools that have some of the highest graduate salaries in the country. There’s no way they can expect to compete against UW Lacrosse in attracting athletes. Poor guys.
Classic private school elitists. You all sit there in your spoiled rotten generational wealth and cast aspersions on a blue collar state school. I know it must hurt your egos to be so badly beaten by UW schools every year but the dominance of the UW schools is the result of people who actually have to work for things and not just be handed everything with a silver spoon. We can’t just rely on our trust funds to get by in life.

Tosa is outside of Wisconsin's 5th Congressional District, which is the richest in Wisconsin, the argument can still be made about that being a rich area though. The border does not magically depreciate in value if they are barely outside that district.
Yeah, a suburb rich in hard working salt of the earth folks. The Matthai Twins and the rest of the vloggers that make up the University of Wisconsin-Lacrosse cross-country team pull themselves up by their boot straps and put in the work every dang day. The SUNY schools are similar to the UW schools yet they win way less national championships. So what’s the difference? Midwest grit and blue collar mentality vs East coast elitism and entitlement. That’s it, that’s the only advantage they have.
SUNY schools are similar, but talent gets spread out. Binghamton, Buffalo, Albany and Stony Brook are D1.
Gennesseo and Cortland have had good D3 teams over the years when they can line up good talent.

Classic private school elitism. These are all blue collar, salt of the earth race programs, punching WAY above their weight class year in and year out. That takes GUTS not just dumping more NIL money into the program.
I'd love to see Wartburg steal the win under their noses. Imagine the ego you need to think people want to watch you bug your teammates all day on YouTube. Also, that guy who wears the wife-beater in all the workouts. Have some class dude.

The men of UW schools understand how to work hard - back in my day I would mine coal for 12 hours before running a marathon every day. The Matthai twins are studying hard for their double major (shapes and colors) and will actually make a difference when they graduate. They both have return offers to McDonalds, and will be able to fondly remember their DIII National Championship while they flip McPatties for the rest of their lives.
Here y'all are again not talking about the races. I enjoy the Matthai twins videos. It gives you a glimpse back to the glory days (shoutout D3 Glory Days). I'd bet a lot of you would agree that college went by way too fast and you'd want to be able to savor that time you had with your teammates again.
It would be sweet to see Mo Bati hammer it from the start and then we can see who can grind out the win.
I want to know people's thoughts on how this race will genuinely go. Since the departure of Gregg, Phillip, Patzka, Wilson, and Ryan era, there haven't been many fast national races. These guys all brag and boast about how fit they are but never have a fast national meet. You have your 23:20's races at FAST courses, but us fans want to see a race that is legendary or has some storyline.

Geneseo and Cortland are hardly in the same mold as hopkins, MIT, and NYU. Cortland obviously isn't good anymore but western NY is closer culturally to the midwest then the east coast

With the exception of last year's conference race where he went from the gun, Mo pretty much sat on everyone until the last k (in every meet except conference) and then kicked for the win (except nationals where he got caught), but the one exception shows that he can do it. I don't think anyone (else) will be able to go mid 23's without a fast course and a pack of D1 runners to pull them along. I think Mo could do it solo. I also think he could push from 5k and gap everyone by 20 seconds in the last 3k. His only real risk is letting it go slow for ~7k and letting someone with a kick and a prayer chase him down.
My guess is that he goes from the gun, runs ~23:20 and wins by 30 seconds. But

uhh it's called aura buddy. I know you think that every runner should look like a twink out there but he has every girl in the wiac with their pants on the floor with that wife-beater and mustache
