Kerr runs a HM for fun (but faster than Jakob and without having to walk). He is a md guy; he doesn't have pretensions to being a distance runner.
Counterpoint: he seems to have pretensions about being an 800m runner, and so far we haven’t seen a whole lot. I wouldn’t say Jakob has pretense when he has won his 5ks and XC races. Seems like he went over his skis once.
As for Kerr in the 8K time trial, Mackey indicates the early pace is 4:30 and we seem to hear a 2:13 800m split in there. Conner Mantz of course just ran 4:31 pace in Houston, so we might want to dial back some expectations. I’m sure he’ll close in 2:01-2:05 or something but it might be 27:10 pace or worse overall.
Where has Kerr or his fans argued he's going to match the achievements of Rudisha? He competes over the 800 - he doesn't make claims to "greatness" over that distance.

There seems to be a perception from him and others that he's a strong 800m runner. We'll see, nobody said Rudisha. Jakob doesn't claims to greatness as a distance runner. He has World Records in the 3,000 and 2 mile, and 5K titles. Clearly he IS great at that.
Kerr's TT is out and he ran 22:24. Does indicate he could probably make it to 10K if he wants to pace the London Marathon at some point, which he's said he wanted to in the past. Not sure about 15K, we'd have to see:
His goal is to get many WRs - what is your fu%&#NG problem with that?
No, it isn't his goal to get "many world records". It was explicitly to get all the records from the 1500 to the marathon. It is empty boasting. He won't - because it isn't possible.
The sifan hassan comment was especially ludicrous. She doesn’t even hold any WR in any event and Koltrast is using her to fend off any comments that it’s possible to ‘hold every world record from 1500m to marathon’ in this day and age? Any sensible LRCer knows Jakob is not going to achieve that short of just admitting he will dope all out.

True to form prediction, someone predicted Kerr runs under 22:30 ‘easily’ and this result is no surprise. 2:48 per km in trainers is swoosh. Under race conditions he can surely go much faster. 27:30 10000m for him right now. Just as fast as Jakob but without the gasping for air and nearly collapsed by the sidewalk part.
Kerr will be under 22:30 for an 8k time trial easily. Otherwise he will just be holding back in reserve. He beat Jakob in a half, do you really think he can’t keep pace with Jakob in an XC?
He didn't beat Jakob in a half...he ran faster in a downhill half, and lost to a 13:13/27:36 guy in Dillon Maggard. Yes, I think Jakob would liekly trounce Josh Kerr in an 8K XC. Of course, we'll probably never know because Kerr finds European Championship races and Cross Country beneath him. Perhaps that changes with World XC in Florida? But he'd still defensibly run the 2K in that case I'd imagine on the relay.
Does it matter downhills or uphill? Kerr is a hill technical specialist as he ran 3:44 on an undulating fifth avenue mile. Besides he beat Jakob by more than 1min which is no fluke whatever the course profile. What matters is both were ran on the same surface, that’s all that matters. Downhills races can be equally damaging to the legs as uphills.
They both mean the same. Stop splitting hairs. JI isn’t getting every WR from 1500 to marathon before I castrate myself.
His goal is to get many WRs - what is your fu%&#NG problem with that?
The problem is we don’t want him to get every WR from 1500m to marathon because it is clearly an offence to good integrity as he clearly needs to use drugs to achieve that in this day and age. Paavo Nurmi might be able to do that but he was running in an age where sport was not widely taken up and competed in and technology was much too backwards as well. To hold every WR in 2030 is not the same as in 1920.
“What allows me to be content is that I did everything I could for the best result, and that was the best result I could ever get,” says the Edinburgh AC athlete. “I’m not like: ‘I should have done this or that, and the result would have changed’. That was the best 1500m race I’ve ever run, and could be the best 1500m race I will ever run in my life. [Silver] wasn’t what we wanted but I’m still very proud of what it was.”
and on wanting to be the best.
“I’m trying to be the best 1500m runner of our era, and that means I need to have more titles than everyone else and run faster times, so anyone that’s going to challenge that will hear my honest opinion on their life and their racing,” states Kerr. “I wouldn’t say I have a particular standpoint on any of these guys right now, but if they say something or do something that I don’t quite agree with, I will let them know that.”
Dear Rojo, he will be end up being the best cleanest 1500m male phenom of this era hands down alright!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Silver wasn't what he wanted because he was precisely cheated out of the gold!!!!!!!!!!! Till this day I'm still harassed by Cole Hocker's fake win!!!!!!!!!! Even Nuguse's bronze already have my blood cholesterol pressurized!!!!!!
I sincerely want the best for my boy Kerr really!!!!!!!!!

Darling, Kerr is HUMBLE, CONSERVATIVE SCOTTISH BLOKE!!!!!!!!! He will never boast, that's what I know and what his moral culture taught him alright!!!!!!!!!!!!! He is good at 800m and can surely go faster but not faster than Sedjati and co who are all obviously doped!!!

Correct sir!!!!!!!!!!! Jakob can't even run a proper HM even on his 1st time out, how can he stupidly think he will run all the WRs from 1500m to marathon?????

Might be because he isnt repeat world champion and olympic champion in that distance.

Look Noah, I've always had a discord with you regarding my boy Hicham El King love Guerrouj and I don't want to start another one on my boy Kerr as well you feelin me?????? Aerobically and strength wise, Kerr is not inferior to Jakob and also has the superior running biomechanics!!!!!!!!!

That kind of reasoning hadn't stopped Ingebrigtsen saying the HM is his "best distance" or that he wants all the wrs from the 1500 to the marathon. So what has he done over 5k?
Try counting the difference between 1928 - his peak - and 2025. Nah - too hard for you.
You don't know anything about his career. You never would be able to look for some facts - you are way too stupid.
You are nothing more than a comical figure. Unable for any discussion.
All of Nurmi's WRs in the 1500m, Mile, 5000m, 10000m came until 1925.
His career stretched over the full 1920s with Olympic titles in 1920, 1924 and 1928. We are in the middle of the 2020s. '24 was not Nurmi's peak.
For Dumb his success was NEARLY a century age. Now he is lying about the facts - as ALWAYS.
When arguments about what is a "century" are all you have to go on then you are in a very sad way. You completely miss the point that no evaluation about what is possible today can be derived from Nurmi's era.

He showed that at Prefontaine last year. Ingebrigtsen floundered behind Kerr.

Changing the subject - as always.
Typo from me: '28 was not Nurmi's peak.
I don't think Ingebrigtsen will ever be close to the Marathon WR (and I believe he will fail with the 1500m as well).
Are WRs in both possible? Yes, also very difficult (for sure years apart).
You are nothing but a comical liar (28 Nurmi's peak...).

Nearly a century ago... Dumb in his element.
So 1928 isn't "nearly" a century ago. Whatever you want to believe. And such a vital point in the discussion.
