I added a "Monthly Statistics" Tab to the Google Sheet which displays the # of commitments by Month (Girls/Boys), and has a chart. I will update often, but I will not promise with every addition to the names. I may try to add more showing a quarterly timing breakdown by quartile of the prs or something.

How many schools are you tracking? I am curious about the total D1 roster spots. Maybe 400ish for women, 200ish for men in each class?
I do not track many schools pet se' but rather add any and all recruit commitments i see. For 2025 grads I listed about 250 ladies but did not track boys last year although there is a thread.
So here is 1st attempt at some statistics of potentially low value.
6 Girls with 800 m prs falling in the top 10 Class of 2026 800 m times (ie 2:06.69 or faster) from 2025 Outdoors have verbally committed as of now, with 1 in 4Q 24, 1 in 1Q 25, 1 in 2Q 25, and 3 in 3Q 25. Additional data is shown by decile of time, and a total of 31 Girls with 800 m times falling in the top 100 (ie 2:12.33 or faster) for Class of 2026 from 2025 Outdoors have verbally committed as of now with again a breakdown by decile and by quarter shown. I stopped at the top 100 but I guess that could be extended. I word it as (awkwardly) above as some 800 m prs may be from prior to 2026 Outdoors, or some may be foreign athletes not in the milesplit data I used.
Similar statistics for Girls 3200 m times have been added and will work on Boys data soon - it will be pretty easy to copy formulas and do simple edits for different events or other gender. I am just curious if there is any trend and of course feel free to downvote as you like!

Well there are over 5500+ roster spots in Division 1 for each gender with the new rules, which almost fall in line with past NCAA participation rates. There are 349 NCAA Division I programs that sponsor Cross Country at 17 max spots. Combined, there are over 10,000+ NCAA Division I runners each season. Also, a coach can recruit an athlete and roster them to Track and Field, where 45 max spots are offered.

You have to divide the total by four or five to get the size of each class. So maybe 1000 total spots, 100 to Kenyans, 100 to the rest of world, leaving 800 spots for American high schoolers. Basically we are just need to track the top 200 runners as they, along with the imported runners, will dictate the ncaa competition landscape.
