What gets me is the gaslighting in the mainstream media. Here's what the Washington Post has to say about it:
"The IOC, which is overseeing the boxing competition in Paris, does not test for gender, and there never has been evidence that either Khelif or Lin had XY chromosomes or elevated levels of testosterone."
Really? This is just blatantly untrue. Her federation has stated the opposite.
It would be trivial for the IOC to conduct a genetic test on this boxer. Why not vindicate her? It's a blood test, and not invasive, time-consuming or expensive. This test is conducted on literally millions of babies in utero in the US every year now. This boxer had been banned by her federation and declined to appeal. Why would the IOC not follow up and determine her biological sex? And further, why is the mainstream media not asking this question and instead simply discrediting the boxing federation?
I keep hearing about how it's "complicated." If a person's gender is complicated, they should not be eligible to compete at the OLYMPIC level as a woman.
