I never set out to create content people would hate and at least personally, if I come across a content creator I don’t enjoy, I simply stop watching/listening and find something I do enjoy. I guess I’m a little confused as to why there seems to be a love for hating on people and the effort to ruin their entire career/image without understanding a true situation even comes to mind, it’s not something I subscribe to. It sounds like a simple suggestion but maybe search for something you enjoy watching and support them; it’s a waste of time hating on people.

this is just a pissed customer trying to spread the heat. He doesn’t agree with Matt’s political beliefs, canceled a contract he signed, and now has to pay the fee he agreed to initially.
Just from the presented sequence of messages, it seems like the chain of events was: Itai received a late and AI-generated coaching email -> cancelled the coaching and asked for a refund since he wasn’t receiving the paid-for service at the level expected -> Matt went on an unhinged tirade against Itai re: his nationality.
It doesn’t seem like Itai knew or cared about Matt’s politics one way or another…until he tried to cancel and Matt decided it was appropriate […in his capacity as a business owner providing a service? As a coach???] to air his thoughts on a geopolitical conflict that simply should have no impact on the coaching dynamic / biz service provided whatsoever. Really ugly behavior from Matt if even a fraction of it is accurate.
(Personal thought: I’ve probably had a dozen coaches in my life from youth track years -> adulthood. Aside from the few I’m extremely close with outside of running, I don’t know nor do I particularly care about any of their social/political/religious/etc beliefs. If you can’t separate that junk from your coaching, then you probably aren’t equipped to be a coach — full stop.)

I hear ya, but that is just how ’Itai’ projected it, complete with edited transcripts. More than likely he was a problem from the beginning. Whiny, bitching and needy beyond the hundred dollars a month he was paying for the service. I understand that Matt made a post regarding his views on the Israel situation and that’s when this all started.
Itai just needs to pay the $123 he agreed to if discontinuing the service, stop being a whiny such and such, and get the F over it.
And PRAY a court summons isn’t in his mailbox this week.
This is Matt. The irony of him being banned by police and immigration from ever entering the UK while trying to intimidate people with “legal action” is amazing.
Hi guys, Matt will know for sure who I am , but I thought I would post my experiences as someone mentioned to me on another platform about the thread and he's "finally" been exposed. Naively, coming from a non running background and other people recommending him on social media, he coached my gf of the time who was coming over from a rowing program.
That was about as good as it got. I'm sure this pattern is familiar with a lot of people. Was all good at first, looking back maybe a bit copy and paste but she improved fast. As she got quicker he seemed to take a much more personal interest in her. The innuendos started and before long the messages became highly inappropriate including unsolicited d**k pics. Spoiler, I wouldn't be showing that off to anyone 🤣 anyways, things got a little messy and it all got a bit abusive , I stepped in, we blocked him as it was totally unhinged.
Then, a year or so later, I happened to be in the same race as him and confronted him. This is where things got interesting. He may act tough online, but he shrivelled up onto his shell and even couldn't get his words out without stammering, blaming the whole thing on someone else "accessing his account from people he works with". Obviously that is as in coherent as his excuse here, which has already been disproven by the Israeli guy in question. I don't know if anyone has a military background, but he is what the phrase "chickens**t" was invented for, the coin phrased in a number of books about behaviour of insecure officers. To me it's interesting someone can have such a crazy online persona, but be a bit of a lightweight in real life.
Also, good on the brojos for once for letting people post on this subject. Downvotes to Malmo who has ever (he's one of the reasons I know a lot of people stopped coming here) shown he is on the wrong side of history, then dirty deleted his own posts defending Matt.
Happy if this goes bigger or turns into something else to share all the screenshots which I still have in a backup folder from a few years back of all the crazy stuff Matt did and said.

Yet everyone else reading this post can easily believe it's entirely true. Unfortunately Matt, these stories do sound crazy when they are in isolation, but when they form part of a repeating pattern, not so.
The fact that people are now starting to congregate in one place is making it increasingly hard for you to control the narrative and make out that those opposing you are just crazy jealous individuals.
I've no doubt that this is just the tip of the iceberg. Once there is an 'official' place to report this stuff there will likely be dozens more cases.
I suspect there is enough here now for this to be passed on to Safesport. Which will also give people a reliable place to report their experiences with you where you cannot attempt to threaten them into silence.
Thanks to Itai's bravery for sharing this publicly, we are hopefully one large step closer to ridding the sport of you for good. A long period out of all society would be nice, but I think most would settle for a life ban from the sport.
Post the screenshots please. We need more evidence, and having something like this will only verify Matt's style of attack.
Same goes for Itai- posting the full email chain (with cryptographic verification) of your messages will make Matt back off. He's just been waving his hands around and yelling that 'everything is fake' and people are out to get him- the lawyers he's supposedly hired won't be able to contest messages that were genuinely sent.
