How many commercial breaks will they take during the steeple?
LOL.
Right now, they're showing a commercial of obese people doing a broadway-musical celebrating getting their diabetes under control with Jardiance. I’m going with 2 commercial breaks in the steeple as my guess.
Glad to see Alexis Holmes make the team in the open 400. She is one of the most consistent U.S. athletes when it comes to showing up and competing on the circuit and it's nice for that to be rewarded, especially in this day and age when the major stars increasingly dip out.
Random question - can someone explain why NCAA meets don't count for world ranking? Is it because they aren't open to all athletes?
They aren’t run under WA rules. How would they go through and pick out who had things like legal shoes for rankings and who didn’t. Calling back races if someone falls in the first 100. That isn’t a rule in the rest of the world.
and you can downvote it all you want. That’s the reason.
The fact that 4 of the 8 top finishers in the women's 400 were collegiate runners is a joke. There isn't a legitimate professional 400 runner. This won't happen in any another event. World wide, the women's 400 is a joke. It's a shame Sydney and Femke don't run the 400.

In all fairness, the women's 400m in the NCAA was historically deep this year. Butler and Brown are two of the fastest to ever run the event in college, so I don't know that I'd call that a joke.
Though I agree it's surprising there isn't a bit more depth on the professional side.
Is the storyline for every single athlete that they’re back?
I swear I’ve heard it in every event so far
Yes Even Coleman..they said he missed the Olympics and now he’s trying to get to back to them. So even athletes who have never been to the Olympics are trying to get back to them
Can someone remind me how Jager can make the team? Does he have to run the 8:15 standard AND finish top 3, or can placing high up regardless of the time get him in based on world ranking?
