He was going for b2b records in the 5k and 2k, which required testing. If you think Katir was doping he was microdosing and not afraid of in-competition testing, but fearful of out-of-competition testing.
Precisely.
Micro for in completion, macro during out of competition- thus the whereabouts failures.
Could I venture another option? I was suspicious when he burst onto the scene in mid-2021 that he had used a transfusion because he had run out of steam by the Olympics. The blood passport has two strengths: it red flags when the blood has been put in and it also red flags when the blood has been taken out. Either case, you don't want testers finding you! The Spanish love their blood bags.
I can't really control what you believe most people see.
I prefer to stick with how WADA documents describe "whereabouts failures".
They see them as a likely cover for doping - as most people do - which is why it is an antidoping violation. Of course an athlete won't return a positive test if they can't be tested. That's why a doped athlete will avoid being tested. But you always look for excuses for the athlete. Most athletes can meet their testing obligations - and do - so if they are failing to do so they are either as thick as two planks and incompetent as professional athletes, or they are doping. So what are your grounds for suggesting Katir is an innocent dimwit?
This is only partly true.
Whereabouts failures are poor measure of clean/dirty, as clean athletes can and do miss tests and/or make filing errors; and dirty athletes can and do meet their testing obligations.
you have to hand it to rek runner he has great stamina for an argument regardless of being wrong all the time. if he devoted this amount of time and energy to his running he would be faster than katir!
Katir was a serious runner training like a dog even before 2018. His Instagram used to go back before that and he was posting training and race pics constantly. He also had a six-pack and had a side gig as a male model. He's deleted all his old photos.
One thing that needs to be stated that is relevant whether people like it or not - he came to Spain at five with his father illegally in order to have a better financial future. And yet it's racist to suppose he would be prepared to cheat in order to become rich. Right.
And Nordas was just hobby jogging to those 13:20? Why are you buying one guys story and not the others? Cause you like one more than the other…

How observant. I am often complemented for my great stamina.
I always welcome when someone is able to show I'm wrong with facts, evidence, and controlled observations rather than some baseless conclusion.
But great stamina is required to combat faith and fallacy and presumption.

Your false dichotomy is false.
How often do clean athletes miss three tests that they cannot show at least one had justifiable cause? Certainly dopers can pass tests with the right masking drugs or not being tested while they are doping. But three missed tests without proven justification show an athlete avoiding testers. There's only one reason they will do that.
If Katir cannot show justifiable cause for missing any of the tests in the given period he is a doper. Your only alternative is that he is a moron. Is he?

You confuse stamina with obduracy, which you will.

He is not “being wrong all the time”. He has never said Katir is clean. Nor have I (but I still don’t wanna judge him before his appeal is decided, and even then only as a whereabouts breaker -then brought upon himself a fair 2 year long suspension, and an enlarged doping suspicion.)

It’s not only Rekrunner -neither Wada thinks Katir is a proven doper. If so he would have received a 4 year ban.

He seems to fight for the most downvotes in "running" threads. By now he actually may have overtaken even Armstronglivs.
Hey rek! You shouldn't wait until page 5 with your trolling; have a look at the many votes on page 1.

You are technically incorrect - the worst kind of incorrect.
ARTICLE 1 DEFINITION OF DOPING Doping is defined as the occurrence of one or more of the anti-doping rule violations set forth in Article 2.1 through Article 2.11 of the Code.
....
2.4 Whereabouts Failures by an Athlete Any combination of three missed tests and/or filing failures, as defined in the International Standard for Results Management, within a twelve-month period by an Athlete in a Registered Testing Pool.
Conclusion: any combination of three missed tests and/or filing failures is by definition doping.

Just looking at your name I can attest that you are a troll. You are so desperate that you stick to any lame argument to catch your rivals
I'm pretty sure you will be praying that Katir will be caught in a holdup or emprisoned for some affaire just so that he will not spoil your dreams at the Olympic.
Congratutation again for the so called "The Village Idiot" aka ArmstrongisLIv (thank to some Swedish poster for the name) for his long and stubborn posts.
Bye bye rek = Rojo (with 70% chance)
If you only have a small brain you would have figured that Katir has done 25 tests this season alone and if the AIU were fair they would have E-mailed him about 2 controls missed. No they wanted him to be caught.
Bottom line its my hope and desire that any American will be dropped and ashamed in the next Olympics.
But 'Katir not taking the sport seriously' is just a made-up fact by Thoughtlessleader. And it's not just the crazy progression (during the lockdowns), it's about the coach with no experience, the fact that he is representing the dirtiest European country for doping and comes from a country that has not only produced many distance running dopers, but even many dopers representing their European host countries (and now Katir is yet another one). And a manager who mamaged the doper Cacho and who claims dopers should get fourth and fifth chances. He also never denied taking drugs and reacts to accusations with taunts about sleeping with wives and having a bigger D.
There are truly some doping apologist scum here. Wouldn't be surprised if Katir's coach or manager is posting here.
I've never said that, and would never say that. One fact-check: -Turkey and Russia definitely dirtier countries than Spain if we're being honest.Just keeping you in check in your bouts of hyperbole.
As for Katir, he didn't receive much support until 2020-1, there is no question. He was from a poor part of Spain with no track I believe, and few resources (e.g. altitude trips, access to coaching, opportunities at big meets etc.). This doesn't rule out doping, because simply put if you could dope to the gills and if you're running and training without resources you are not running 3:28/7:27/12:50. At least, that is my belief.
I have been suspicious of Katir, same as you. I am just consistent and suspicious of Nordas as well. I accept some of their explanations as major factors, but am skeptical of others. -I buy altitude camps as an aid (Katir/Nordas) -I don't buy "finding your event" as anything legitimate (Katir/Nordas) -I buy getting greater race opportunities/wearing superspikes (Katir/Nordas) -I don't buy "my years of training finally started to show" (Nordas) -I buy training under a new system (Katir/Nordas) -I don't buy I no longer have to work at a shoe store/study as hard/worry about other things (Katir/Nordas)
So I could and do poke holes in both. The best thing Nordas can do is remain at a high level, compete and get tested often, and not cast suspicion by failing in either respect. Katir failed in the testing aspect, and thus lost the benefit of the doubt.
"As elite athletes we are held to the highest standards we are required to provide whereabouts information. A 60-minute time slot for each day where athletes will be available and accessible for drug testing and liable for a potential ‘missed test’. It’s part of our job and what we signed up for to compete at this level. Too many times innocent athletes are punished by others, whether that’s making a team, making a final, or getting a medal. I truly believe in the process Athletics Integrity Unit (AIU) this is not a sad week for track and field instead it’s a happy week knowing that all athletes can be on a starting line held to the same standards and accountability @wada_ama @worldathletics"

I don't have clean versus doper stats of those who miss tests, versus their given reasons. Do you?
We don't usually hear about those with less than three missed tests, or see the reasons.
Maybe some dopers are better at creating alibis because they know how to game the system, while clean athletes may be caught with their pants down because they are not gaming the system, nor keeping evidence of their alibis.
Katir will become a doper only in the sense that the WADA Code considers all ADRVs as "doping", regardless of whether a banned substance/method is present or used.

Doping: The act of violating one or more of the anti-doping rules outlined in the WADA Code. WADA has 11 ADRVs that constitute doping, even if no directly prohibited substance or method is involved.
