There is no way Nike signed the best distance runner in America to a contract that ends just before the Olympics. These contracts almost always come up for renewal post-Olympics, I expect Grant to still be competing for Nike in Paris, just not with BTC
Not as in the loop, but what about being coached remotely by Chris Fox? He's had success at Grant's distances in Justyn Knight and Ben Flanagan, and arguably Josette Andrews, too. Plus being assistant coach after heading two programs might leave him with some availability.
Smith or Dathan are the only American coaches with the resume worthy of this switch. unless he is going to Alberto, which is ridiculously unlikely.

It sure didn't look like it after the last race. barely any contact. All just things I haven't read yet.

That's bulldust, they'd take Fisher in a heartbeat. Like I said Ky Robinson, opponent or ally of Morgan, depends how you view the sport, is a done deal.

I'm aware. There are two MS's in AZ. Time will tell.
Confirmed he is not joining a group and is doing his own thing. Still not sure on coach but it’s not one of the bigger names. The Tim Rowbury guess is an interesting one IMO but that’s just me speculating

I’ve been thinking Cranny goes to Team Boss - following Kate Grace, Infeld and now Fraser.
Karissa will not be ready to train at Cranny’s level AGAIN next year since she just had surgery(this is not knocking karissa v sad she has had so much injury problems the last couple years).
Gotta feel for Cranny basically grinding the bowerman workouts solo this year and she probably wants training partners

Team Boss is OK. Mike Smith is a top coach but it isn't really a team set up. I could kind of see her going there though. On (premier team but limits athletes per country). I doubt they would take her because of Monson and Norris. NB, great for 1500m but not a fit, not at altitude...
What is up with Nike? How can Nike not have a premier pro US training group? BTC has fallen apart.
If Cranny makes three a crowd for sure Cranny should be replacing Norris who has plateaued and going nowhere at this point

I find it interesting that Americans seem to think that you only move to the marathon when you're no longer fast enough for the track, yet also complain about the state of American marathoners.

He's in his absolute prime at the 3k-10k distances. He and his team probably know better than us when the right time to move up is.
He could potentially take almost 2 minutes off the American half marathon record. . . but you'd rather he wait until he's aged out of track and way below his HM/M potential?
