.. but wasn't her 15:27 indoors... maybe this was her PR for the 5,000 outdoors.
ive never heard of anyone separating PR's between indoors and outdoors when its the same event unless its the other way and they come close to their PR indoors and think they could be in shape for a better time on a 400m track.

I took chmiel pr from school press release, it's prob outdoor, as I think she has run faster at bu.
Point of post is that coach Henes now has 1/6th of east 5000 slots, or 8/48 spots. Not bad for 1 school. Only Quarzo in danger of being bumped, but most likely safe.
I'm not really commenting on times, as many will improve by June.
She is not as fast as a high school girl (4:07) and you want to call her the greatest collegiate runner of all time? REally?!?
Collegiate records are set by college runners. Tuohy broke 3 collegiate records during the past indoor season. Try to cope with that. Trolls here on LR are getting so predictable.

Who said that though? I get some people overhype her and have these wild expectations, but the defense doesn't always have to be putting Touhy down in some way.

Ikr? These fan wars are so weird on here. As they say, don’t hate the player, hate the game.
You Tuohy fanboys want to make it out like she is the greatest collegiate distance runner of all time. Alexa Efrainsom, certainly no world beater, ran faster (4:07) in high school. Jenny Simpson ran faster (much faster - 3:59) in college. 4:08 is a slow time.
Jenny's first sub-four was right at the end of her senior year. She was almost 23. Her previous PB was 4:11. Tuohy's first quarter was misjudged and too fast. She's still learning. So is Henes. No college coach (other than Wetmore) has had an athlete under 4, or close to it.
Touhy is a young talent, has performed exceptional at the college level and pretty much has been silencing her critics. I commend both her and her coach for this. That said, there has been a lot of talent (Hull, Waymant, Kelati, Johnson, Orton, Schweizer, etc) in just the last couple of years that likely would have handled Touhy relatively pretty easily if they were to somehow have raced each other in college. The cream of the crop in women's collegiate distance running is quite sparse at the moment. Great depth, but not many heavy hitters IMO.

This is the sad aspect of LR. You’d think it would be a safe place to track the progress of one of the most talented female runners to come along in a long time. Koko is 5 years Senior to Tuohy and has improved significantly in the last five years to achieve elite world class status. Clearly no rational person should ‘expect’ KT to beat her. Similarly no rational person should deny the likely chance that once Katelyn peaks in her mid to late 20’s she should be able to occupy similar status as an AR holder and one of our top international stars. The fact that she lost to Koko by only 2 seconds in a season opener should be encouraging. Instead we get a handful of trolls with consistent doomsday projections that would be demoralizing to her if she read these pages. Fortunately, I understand that she avoids this site. Good for her. She’s a humble person with a strong sense of duty to her college team and that should be commended rather than vilified. Peace!

If they all could have easily handled Tuohy, why didn't they set college records and rack up titles?
