McColgan is a beast. Will be I interesting to see what she does in London. Monson is a beast but she has no sprint speed. Her best bet on the World stage is the marathon

It is worrisome against Beatrice Chebet, who is figuring it out more and more every race and Tsegay. Gidey is not a huge kicker, so then it comes down to whether Hassan is truly back. From there yeah Monsons not a big kicker but it’s not like Taye, Kipkemboi, Seyaum and so on always are the most consistent either. I wouldn’t give up on a medal at all unless Hassan is back as a lock and Chebet becomes Vivian Cheruiyot 2.0.
Monson goes from 3000i AR to 10000 AR in two weeks...America has a new Distance Queen.
And McColgan has really paid her dues and made it pay off. Reminiscent of Levins' journey . I wonder what she has done different the last year. Her unusual form is at the same time surreal and fun to watch.
Guy that did Tokyo marathon earlier tonight was excellent. Tons of relevant information, no fluff, not obsessed with his persona, his sense of humor, and the sound of own voice.
These things all really set him apart from major network types, Citius, Flotrack, Merrill, et al.

From what you read she has basically added 15% more mileage every year. She could never stay healthy but now she has and obviously if you’re competitive at 45-50 mpw once you can handle 70-80…
Henes turned on the jets at the end, great race. Not far off the standard. O'Keefe and Rogers ran really well too, they all looked like they were working together.

Plus it appears as if she is puttin on the Ritz which might be the secret sauce for Alicia and Yared.

From some of her Instagram posts it looks like she does quite a bit of cross training too, mainly the bike.

I agree. If Ritz gets her taper right for Budapest, she should be among the top 6 or 7 podium contenders in the 10. Then it's just a matter of who brings it on the day.

She has done that for years, apparently able to build run mileage on top of that now.
A few too many bourbons tonight, but your either in it to win, or it’s just a side show. Yes, Klecker is a super solid US distance runner, but that’s the curse, then it’s all about the next level. What’s the goal? In your minds eye you can see Fisher medaling. Joe? No chance. Of course he’s amazing, but do we spend lots of time discussing guys who are the 10th player on an NBA roster?
10th player on an NBA roster? Try 8th in the world for his event. 10k USA national champion. 3rd fastest American all time, 11th to break 13 indoors or out, and you compare him to the 10th player on a roster? Please put some respect on Joe Klecker's name
All right, best I go to sleep. Klecker is super solid. Let’s say he’s Andrew Wiggins. Curry or Klay, no chance. That’s still amazing, yes. When Fisher out kicked Mo last year and ran 26:33, that was a revelation. It was like, damn, Fisher is world class. We’ve been hearing all season that Klecker has been targeting this race, so yes, I expected more. Maybe not an AR, but solidly sub 27. If none of you are underwhelmed, more power to you.
