Duke administration releases statement fully supporting their precious volleyball athletes without any sort of apology or acknowledgement of counterfeit claims of racism. If BYU had any guts they would take legal action. Duke will forever be a school of entitled pansy woke losers to me.

The only pattern in this situation, is the pattern of academic administrators going over the edge with their ‘justice’ and the needs to hold up a symbolic scalp. If you want more insight into how wide spread this sort of psychotic delusion is with regards to ‘white boogeymen’ everywhere out to assault minorities and women, just read this story. What adult administrators and counselors did to destroy an innocent male college freshmen, literally borders on mass psychotic behavior by those with the power.

I've only read 5 pages, but would like to provide some thoughts.

The Godmother, the one who's tweeted racist stuff about white ppl and wasn't even at the game, claimed her granddaughter got called the N word after every serve. The grandduaghter (player) never even claimed that. She said it got shouted to her during a serve, then the next serve, then they switched sides and she heard it again. This isn't her claiming EVERY single serve. Obviously if she claimed this, yes, VERY hard to believe it happened.

The tweet to the news report mentioned above grabbed a quote from someone who won't even be named and used the video recordings as proof. If there's a lot of fans, depending on where the audio source (and contrast capabilities) is, you could easily go back over the audio and not hear one person screaming something to the extent that only the playerers heard it. It's hard to distinguish voices when there's tons of ppl screaming.

Also, if this fan had friends around him who would've been the most likely to hear it of course they're not going to turn on their friend. Does anybody else who heard it want to have their name public by going forward in a national news story, and say something that reflects poorly on one of the most religious schools in the country?

I think there's definitely a possibility in which a fan said it a couple times (not every single serve...), friends or random students didn't say anything and the audio isn't going to pick it up. I'm just being devils advocate here. I think there's a low possibility that it happens (esp with players backing her claim), but there's not much you can do to prove it did happen if it did if witnesses won't speak up. I think most ppl assume they would be the saving grace if someone said racial slurs and speak up, but it's not always that simple.

My gut instinct? Some guy said a racial slur a few times, no one who heard it spoke up, but her, and then especially her godmother took this way out of proportional. I do think the BYU athletics director should've never took a side so quickly though.

The Mormon religion believes in a god that pronounced black people inferior. The fact that the Mormon god is alleged to have somewhat changed his mind on the evening of June 1, 1978 is irrelevant. Mormonism still believes in that god, over gods who never pronounced back people inferior.
