They have previously been the subject or a legal letter over remarks that, while true, were the type that could easily be published on here, but get you into trouble when distributed in a form of media.

It would honestly do them no (personally nor professionally) to go to town on NB and AA. They're justifiably being very careful given the parties involved and their role in the athletics media.

I don't need any, I'm not the one making accusations or on trial in this kangaroo court. If you have evidence that there was non-consensual illegal impropriety with a person under 16yo then report it.

None of this is about me so I have no comments to make on the "ethical or moral" aspects of their legal consensual relationship.

Yes, they might talk nonsense, but they're not completely stupid. The only remotely credible host is indebted to NB connections & his squad for elevating his best athlete from good fun runner to almost world class.

Very true Albert. Ellie Pashley is managed by NB!! he's the one who helped her get into so many majors abroad and facilitated her training camps. Of course the IRP boys have to tread lightly as there's major difference between shooting the sh1t on LR or instagram comments VS. producing a 90-100 minute podcast every week that's sponsored by major running brands.

Brady would know that the moment he starts naming names then he's going to lose access to all of NB's athletes who make up a large portion of Australia's elite running populous.

Maybe it was legal and consensual, but that doesn't make it ethical or right.

Personally I have no connection and don't know the workings of AA or how Nic fits in, but there appears to be a significant conflict of interest. It's the sort of thing that wouldn't be acceptable in any reputable workplace (certainly not in my workplace), which leads me to believe that AA and Nic Bideau are not reputable.

Does Nic Bideau have a role at AA? It seems yes. Does he also coach athletes in a professional group competing against other athletes to be selected in national teams by AA. It seems also yes. That is a conflict of interest that makes me doubt their credibility.

I don't know if Nic Bideau uses his role to influence selection in favour of people in his group, but that doesn't matter. Just being in both those positions is enough and wouldn't be tolerated in any company or organisation with any concerns about ethics.

No argument from me there and no doubt it will be looked at after all this selection controversy.

Haha! Tbh, I thought it was Hull who came through, then I saw the name flash up. It could be read as the Aussie selectors got it right: no way would Caldwell have done much in Eugene, but now she has a medal to her name
