Here's his 'recruiting': recruit 10+ good recruits of each gender and give them NIL to get around the scholarship cap. Then cut those who don't perform. You'll get at least 5 good ones per gender. And be very aggressive in the portal.

The latter point is probably far easier at Tennessee than Notre Dame due to the academic standards - I think all Notre Dame's transfers are grad students and they'll have had to do well enough in their college before: there's someone from Arizona state who ran well but must have had good grades, or those from ivies who are too slow to do a grad year at Stanford / Duke but still want a good college. But Tennessee, with the exception of certain engineering departments, won't have those limitations

Using NIL and transfer portal moves are a reality of the modern NCAA.
