Jakob's lack of kick has been ridiculously overstated. Obvious that he could run a 52 in a 3:33 race or something like that. 54.4 coming off of three straight 55-56.xx laps.
HJ should be adjusted based on athlete's height

He won that way so many times. If it ain't broke, don't fix it, right? He made the right choice, but now it is broken. NOW, it might be time to try a new strategy with Jakob.
Still might not work though.
Can't wait for Eugene 2022 for more real racing.

Right, it was Schweitzer. Sisson finished out in lane 3 or so, and managed a nice push down the final straight. Schweitzer did kind of stop cold in lane 1 after finishing and looked woozy. I wasn't watching closely and don't remember her blocking another runner (although true, that's not the point), but I might have missed any block that happened.
What a bummer on the conditions. Okay, if it's somewhat tough conditions and the runners you're rooting for come up well short, tip your hat the winners and acknowledge that they're just stronger; but when you've got multiple runners dropping out in the first ? 5-10 laps, that could be a different story, i.e., maybe in good conditions Sisson finishes a lot closer to the medals. It's a shame that the conditions appeared to play such a big role.

The Pole who shouldn’t have been in the final PRs with a 3:32. Good for him but they were advancing anyone to the finals who had a mishap. Luckily non of them really factored in the medal results.

Hassan was going to win if it was snowing, or if the race was literally held on the sun. That’s greatness, great in any conditions. I don’t understand complaints about the conditions, not that Sisson herself is complaining, when all of the competitors are facing them.

Great that India won its first ever(?) athletics gold, but it's really a shame that the competition was spoiled by a crumbling track that is completely useless for throwing javelin.
Our 4x4 team looked like they hate each other. Every other team was doing something except ours, just looked pissed off. What’s the deal with that
