I'm sure the main reason she is leaving Nike is because she didn't receive the offer she wanted and someone else was willing to pay her a boatload of money.

You are easily the two most mature, level-headed, intelligent, pragmatic, grownup women on the BTC. When you both joined the team in 2018 you brought a level of professionalism and genuine camaraderie that we were honestly lacking at the time. Neither of you women put up with gossip or allow anyone to talk sh*t on teammates behind their backs.

It's not analogous at all because a star football player can play for any of the 32 NFL teams and the coaching won't really have any impact on performance. Track is entirely different and coaching has a massive impact so rolling the dice with a new coach just months before the OTs is a huge gamble.

To all the people who think her looks don't matter. Give me a break. She is drop dead gorgeous and looks matter in marketing. There is no way that this thread is 13 pages long even if she is a 7. Everyone knows that Nike is all-controlling and will restrict athletes from other sponsorships. It makes perfect sense with her looks and positive personality to want to get out from Nike's controlling presence and land other sponsorships that would not be allowed by Nike. Good for her.

I don't even know why she bothers with the grind of training and running. She is the only one pretty enough to quit running and just model full time. She thought about doing that coming out of college. No one cares about 4th place steeplechasers unless they are gorgeous. Let the ugly girls grind for small pay days while she makes bank taking photos.

Also find is interesting nothing from Shalane on CQ’s post. She was one of the first people to comment when Kate Grace left and her and Colleen were go way back to the beginning of BTC. Shalane even liked a post from Frerichs that was posted after Colleen’s. So somethings definitely up.

Colleen’s home page is promoting Shalane’s cookbook. I think they’re cool.

The BTC women have known for a while that Quigley was leaving. They probably said whatever they had to say then, rather than wait for her to post on Instagram. Also Quigley gets so many comments that they figured they should just text her or talk to her in person rather than risk her not seeing a heartfelt comment.

Seriously, what is the point of airing out dirty laundry in this way? Also, interesting she lumped Shelby and Courtney in with the "newer" babes. They all went to Rio together.

I didn't read all of the letter, but this is what I caught.

This decision really makes sense if she thinks Tokyo is not happening.

I remember the way she celebrated when she beat Shelby to take the US indoor mile title in 2019. It seemed cold between them.
