As a vet and current reservist I can tell you, Ukraine does not have strong ground forces or the political ability to out beg Russia's production capability. In the best of times, all the support Ukraine got never matched Russia's output. And those best of times are over. Ukraine will never have the advantage. Hard reality.

The House takes a 2 week recess to let the futility of future battles work against Ukraine funding. They will return at the end of February with a better understanding of how useless Ukraine is against Russia.
While I agree that the Avdiivka loss will generally work against funding progress, it will get passed by the House. Lets be real. The MIC funds both parties and all of Washington. The PIC (which immigration feeds, if you can call detention centers prison) has much less money than war and thus much less kick backs. Washington makes their money from endless war because mass incarceration doesn't pay the campaign bills. Detention centers never will. The House may seek a lower amount however. The case can certainly be made in addition to the White not having any answers to the questions needed to justify funding Ukraine, like what is the endgame and what is the path there. Zero rationale has been given for funding Ukraine but these people need to keep their jobs at all costs.
