I have read that 1m views is worth somewhere between $4k to $8k so to make back $800 he'd need from 100k to 200k views - people in this thread seem to think YouTubers are millionaires
This is one aspect I really don't understand and have brought up in this thread before. The economics just don't add up for me. I've seen many breakdowns of Youtuber earnings, a few from Kofuzi himself, and it just never makes sense how some of these guys are living. I'm not even going to get into how several people have left lucrative careers to do shoetubing but just the raw numbers of these guys being mid sized creators with, at most 250k subs, but still only pulling down like 10-30k views on their videos. And it's not like they're those insane channels that just pump out daily videos and do pure clickbait all the time. Even a truly "viral" shoetuber video doesn't crack 1m views.
So even if they are getting comped travel, accommodations, and gear, who cares? You can't eat the all new Nike Vomero Premium, no matter how well it blends athletisure style with running performance or fixes the narrow toe box issues they had with the previous Vomeroc. I'd love to get a video breakdown on how these guys pay bills or support the family for those who have kids/spouses. I understand if you're just a single, young guy who can live lean but most of these people are 30+ and have real financial responsibilities that don't seem to jive with such a volatile "job."
