right wingers are so stupidly predictable when they start taking over a nation.
attack the lawyers. Trump did it.
attack the judges and start arresting them. Trump did it.
attack the universities Trump did it.
Flood the zone with lies so truth is elusive. Trump did it.
Make the authoritarian leader above the law. Trump did it.
Shout about traditional values while they themselves have the values of downtown Baltimore or a holler in West Virginia. Trump did it.
Defund the arts. Trump did it.
Say a free press is the enemy of the nation. Trump did it.
Make elections seem illegitimate and rigged. Trump did it.
Fight wars overseas. Trump did it.
Suspend due process. Trump did it.
Disappear people in the middle of the night: Trump did it.
Fund and fill gulags. Trump did it.
Attack the national legislature. Trump did it.
Sideline the national legislature and rule by fiat. Trump did it.
Hate on the gays, racial minorities, catholics, etc. Trump did it.
Pretty boring, Rs. You have anything original to add to the usual mix?
I don't care about defunding the arts. I was forced to play an instrument when I was younger and I didn't like it. I also am ambivalent on foreign intervention - I'm isolationist, but I'd be fine with using drones and missiles (but keep Americans at home) to clear shipping lanes in Europe and the Middle East, if we're compensated for it by Egypt, Europe, etc.
And Trump doesn't "hate on the gays, minorities, catholics, etc". Go look at Bessent and Thiel; Rubio, Cruz, Ladapo (Florida surgeon general); etc.
Your use of “likely” shows the real basis of your opinion-supposition.
Did I see Al Capone order the killings of others? No, but I believe he likely did.
Big difference: There is legal and confirmed documentation of Capone’s crimes. He did it. No “likely” involved. Supposition is when you go by feeling and imagination. Nothing wrong with that per se, when you say “in my opinion” or “I believe,” as you just did, it’s ok!but when you go public, it comes off as a charge. I used to believe OJ was guilty as hell, but I would always say it with the (sort of annoying when you’re really gut-sure!) little “IMP or “it’s my opinion” qualifier. And any opinions I voiced about other people’s actions. Also a cool legal move to keep me out of trouble with slander or defamation stuff.

Shoko man...you are of course correct but I'm getting real tired of page after page of the same argument.
Can we move on?
Page after page of bashing Trump. Fo 8 years now. Non-stop Trump bashing. Can we move on? We are really tired of it.
I’d be happy to it he would stop doing objectively horrible and stupid crap.
I guess The Rock was on TNT over the weekend and now he wants to spend hundreds of millions of dollars to reopen Alcatraz Prison, which was too expensive to operate over 60 years ago.

and the moron is talking about putting tariffs on movies. Which would open the door to other countries tariffing the things we do absolutely best: services and pop culture stuff.
So counterproductive, so idiotic.
There's no plan - it's just dealing every day what the degenerate old man dreams up.
In which we remember Trump has always surrounded himself with fellow criminals and amoral thieves. And he puts then in the Cabinet, to his and our eternal shame.
Here we remember EPA chief Scott Pruitt who had to recuse because he had loathed and sued his own department. Given his crookedness he survived only one year before 14 FOURTEEN!!!! investigations forced him out.
A Republican member of congress said this: Pruitt's "corruption scandals are an embarrassment to the Administration, and his conduct is grossly disrespectful to American taxpayers."

Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Administrator Pruitt recuses himself from a number of lawsuits which he had helped to bring against the EPA
The Emoluments Clause in the U.S. Constitution: Britannica +4 Prohibits federal officeholders from receiving gifts, payments, or other things of value from foreign states or their rulers. Serves as a safeguard against foreign influence on American governance. Requires congressional consent for any such benefits.
Trump didn't win the election. He stole it. Stating otherwise is like saying runners taking EPO should be named winners of the races they participate in. Trump has lied on more than one occasion- meaning there was no true democratic election.
