In which we see the inklings of how Trump would eliminate checks and balances over his years in office, declaring congress basically null and void and edging toward ignoring the courts when they balance his power. No major laws have been passed, but we've had radical change in our country - all by executive orders. That's Trump eliminating congress as a check or balance on his power.
He's just not a fan of the concept of a constitutional democratic republic, boys. He's a dictator and will spend all his time in office eroding checks and balances trying to create a monarchy in America.

I’m watching Trump dismantle Kristine Welker in a TV interview right now.
I’m thinking back to dementia Joe and Willie’s Ho, Kamela and the differences between the administrations and thankful for my reluctant Trump vote.

Sure, it's a new quote, but in Nov '24, America 100% knew that it was voting for a person who would say things exactly like this. ALL. THE. TIME.
It is a miniscule consolation that roughly half of the country is getting exactly what it deserves.
The Wisdom of America (A Retrospective and Forecast):
1) You're more-or-less a one issue voter in 2024, and vote for Trump because you're dumb enough to think that he'll do better on inflation.
2) He goes tariff-crazy, and inflation gets worse (not to mention that he simply doesn't seem to care about inflation anymore, now that's he won).
3) The Republicans in Congress could stop much or all of this tariff idiocy, but cowardly do no-thing.
4) Nonetheless, you vote for Republican House and Senate candidates in 2026 because you think they'll be better for the economy.
5) Last but not least, lacking morals, ethics, and principles, the REST of the stuff that Trump did and said in the first 2 years - and the Republicans were OK with - MEANS ESSENTIALLY NOTHING TO YOU.

Jefferson and Madison really wanted us to be entertained by politics, above all. And make the other guy cry. That's the goal. Boredom and competence is the enemy of a well-run republic.

The sad part is that Dems are so bad at politics, they won't figure out how to get votes from this kind of thing.
