Are you hard of understanding. People aren't questioning his times because we think whether he can run 30:47 for 10k and 68min for half is relevant to whether he is capable of doing this run. We are questioning it because it looks entirely out of kilter with his recorded performances and if he's a congenital liar when it comes to claims about his running ability then you cannot trust a thing the man says about this current endeavour.

Yeah and this guy just ran 161+ on a treadmill in 24 hours, so RYs "good running" (when it is recorded) is less than half that of a true world-class ultrarunner:

This just adds more fuel for the doubters. If RY was really capable of running 70-80 miles a day for multiple days on end as he claims to have done at the start of his latest exploit, he should be able to run a significant bit more for "only" 48 hours, at least 200 miles I would say. But then as we've seen time and time again, whenever he's being watched or timed in a real race he is significantly slower than when we are supposed to take his word (and that of his friends) for his abilities. We have yet to see a truly impressive performance from him in a legit event.

Is Mr. World Champion running now?

When will he be running so we can very carefully watch him run?

Will we be able to have independent and impartial measurement of actual running mileage which would be completely transparent and available as a comparison to the running mileage provided by the World Champion Robert Young?

In this attempt after days of running, in the desert heat, on hilly terrain he runs over 150 miles in 48 hours?

His shorter times are relevant because he is claiming to have run stretches of this race, quicker than he has for any official race in his life. If he had been covering 70-80 miles all at 9+ min/milling, I doubt many people would be bothered. When he is running at 6.xx min/miling and there is no evidence he is capable of that, we assume that he is getting assistance.

Kev, have you seen his pace compared to before? 70 - 80 miles a day before, 40 miles through a desert in 93 degree heat in a pace faster than his marathon best, and you think by telling us he is now doing 40 miles a day you are helping him! Ever since this thread started he's doing half the pace he claimed before

Are we getting anywhere with posting up this video? I'm sure there are a lot of people who would like to see if there is someone running or walking 5 minutes behind the van like Rob said he was.

I have applied for 27 FOIA requests for traffic can footage along the route. Once all or most come in, I'm going to match them up with the tracking data and publish the results. I also will try to get police car recordings as well since Young said he had escorts part of his run. I haven't been able to find out where though so I haven't been able to make any requests. If anyone knows where he got escorts let me know so I can get the car cam footage. It would be invaluable since it would record a lot longer than traffic cams.

Presumably, he's not going to ask for a police escort and then sit with his feet up in the RV. Surely the cops would ask some questions over that? I'm far more interested in the claimed cross desert runs, that he's recorded on his multiple GPS watches.

You guys probably have already gone through this in the last 100 pages, but I will bring it up again anyway. Do we have splits and paces with altitude changes for the section coming out of the Mojave Desert on the way up to Kingman if he was on I-40, and then on to Flagstaff, Arizona? There was also a play trip to the Grand Canyon which would be out of the way.

That climb goes from near sea level to 7,000 ft. altitude. If the splits and pace is near 6:00 minutes per mile for long mileage up that huge climb it is very likely that nobody can do that because it is impossible. It would also be impossible for World Champion Robert Young to do it.

What was his pace for that section?

I think the World Champion might be in really big trouble here.

I doubt anyone will find anything suspicious about his post-Asher running not that he's under scrutiny. And I think it's pretty clear he's done a lot of legitimate running in his previous challenges. 99% of the investigation going on now is futile.

I would like to see a reasonable explanation for the amazing desert run or an explanation on the changing story of the Asher encounter.

If Rob's post-Asher running turns out legit and no one can find a smoking gun for cheating in past challenges, that doesn't make the desert anomaly or the Asher encounter or the undocumented PRs go away.

I think when it's over this whole story will remain as it is now: suspicions and unanswered questions, but no absolute "proof" of cheating.

What you're missing is that now he won't "beat" the record and won't get his run/drive recognized by Guinness. If he got that the situation would be as miserable as with Rossi, proved a cheater by the Internet but not officially dq'ed.
