No Person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President…
If “person”’only referred to citizens, then the “except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States” would be unnecessary. This clearly shows that the writers of the constitution considered “person” and “citizen” to be different.
It’s not a difficult read.
You are stupid.
It is not "a Citizen of the United States",
It is "a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution".
They had to put that in there.
Otherwise; Washington, Adams, Jefferson, Madison, Monroe, J.Q. Adams, and Jackson could never have been president.
They were all born British subjects.
The first natural born American president was Martin Van Buren.
I’m not sure why you’re calling me stupid when I’m 100% correct and have supplied several Supreme Court rulings that support my position, while you and Noyankee have posted incoherent ramblings that suggest severe mental illness, heavy alcohol usage, or both.

And, this is not really difficult to understand.
Let's say that a revolution begins in about ten years from now in a place far from D.C.
Our hypothetical scenario will be the Pacific Northwest: Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and western Montana.
Those freedom fighters wage an asymmetric, guerilla, colonial-style war against their constituent states and the federal (Union) forces who try to stop the secession.
They succeed in creating a new country - let's call it the Northwest American Republic.
Now, they have to draft a constitution and provide for someone who is a citizen of their new nation at the time of the adoption of the constitution to be president.
They will use the same language.
When you upend an established order and create a new one, there must be made avenues to assert your legitimacy.
Both Americans and Brits hanged spies during the Revolution.
The Americans had to do that in order to establish a monopoly of armed force within its borders - the basic requirement of a sovereign state.

Responding to one of your own incorrect posts with a second even dumber incorrect post does not magically make the first post correct.
"There are literally millions of aliens within the jurisdiction of the United States. The Fifth Amendment, as well as the Fourteenth Amendment, protects every one of these persons from deprivation of life, liberty, or property without due process of law." -- MATHEWS v. DIAZ
You are leaving out the part of Matthews v. Diaz in which the Court unanimously said that non-citizens were not eligible for Medicare benefits.
IOW, Congress can make a distinction between citizens and non-citizens.

No degree from Harvard for me, but I'm beginning to suspect your education ended somewhere around the 6th grade from some backwoods grade school... probably somewhere in a hick-infested red state.

Trump trolled the Catholics pretty good yesterday. A week after their leader is put to rest, and Trump hauls off with a haymaker. Bam! Catholics are very emotionally upset about it. Some are spazzing out.

Cuba is both a Catholic and Communist nation.
Quite an accomplishment.
Venezuela and maybe even Colombia are getting close.
“Remember when Republicans lost their minds because Hunter Biden made money from a Ukrainian gas company? 🔻 Flash-forward to 2025 🔻 An Abu-Dhabi state fund (MGX) is moving $2 billion into Binance exclusively through USD1—the brand-new stablecoin controlled by World Liberty Financial, a crypto venture majority-owned by Donald Trump. USD1 was rolled out in Dubai by Eric Trump standing shoulder-to-shoulder with Zach Witkoff—whose father, real-estate tycoon Steve Witkoff, now serves as Trump’s Middle-East envoy. Every USD1 token is backed by U.S. Treasuries, so the interest on that $2 billion pile flows straight into Trump’s private company—millions of passive dollars a year—while he commands the very regulators deciding Binance’s fate. Hunter’s gig: about $600 k per year, zero policymaking power. Trump’s deal: eight-figure profits every single year, courtesy of a foreign monarchy and tied to a crypto exchange whose founder just served time for money-laundering. If one Burisma board seat was “the scandal of the century,” what do you call a royal family using the president’s personal coin as a $2 billion conduit?”

Rafael "Ted" Cruz is Cubo-Canadian. His father was involved in the murder of JFK (who was Catholic).
Mommy! The mean man on the internet gave me a spanking, so I vomited some nonsense about "liberal institutions" and tried the change the subject. Jesus. F*cking. Christ. You Trumpers are pathetic idiots.
p.s. You *could* give a rat's *ss? (I added the missing apostrophe. You're welcome.)
My high school was a liberal indoctrination center.
Hence, I was a lefty at 20.
Fortunately, my university valued academic freedom - and though I had several liberal professors, I graduated as a conservative.

Trump does it out in the open. He's one of the world's bust businessmen and probably the most prominent person in the world. Any crypto project he creates will have a TON of grassroots enthusiasm.
