Based on Mimi's cadence and stride length from numerous videos on her website, she has a regular pace of 26 minutes per mile on the course when she's moving.

How the blazes did she run 13:50 pace up to 7000 feet????

No..... You'd think so, but that's not how GPS works. They have 10 metre accuracy at best at each data point. So they record position with some inaccuracy.

Also depending on whether they are set on best, good, or ok settings for GPS then that will impact too.

Also Strava dicks around with the distance and pace because it uses an algorithm to connect the data points.

And if they are not set as "races" then Strava strips the time associated with the data when travelling slower than 30 minute miles or stopped.

Check it out....

Find a mate with the same watch.... Put on the same settings and wear one on each arm... Upload to Strava and you are almost guaranteed not to get the same result.

Another total red herring to try and up make "evidence". You can have two identical watches on when out for a run, and the distances recorded by the watches could well be different.
