The Head Track, Field & Cross-Country Coach provides leadership and direction for the college’s men’s and women’s track, field, and cross-country teams,
I am sorry but it isn’t posted every year. Lisa Morgan was in place for 2 years as the distance coach before accepting a position to go back to a Power 4. Prior to Lisa, the position was only part time and the previous coach, Chris Lessard, took a head XC position at UMary where he is having a lot of success. The head coach has only been in place for 3 years and the position has only been full time for 2. Those that have left, have done so for better career opportunities. So it isn’t posted every year and now that it is full time and the program is much more established, I believe the next coach will have some longevity. Not a bad thing for the position to be posted if the person leaving is moving up the coaching ranks. That is a good thing in my opinion.
It’s truly amazing that people like Lisa Morgan, dezerea Bryant and Kenyetta iyevbele can be total failures at places and move up to better jobs. Burn Delaware to the ground? Here’s a better job.

I think Florida State alum Jeff Anspach would be the best fit for the Florida State Cross Country position. He knows the program and the expectation, and could flip this team into what it used to be back when Anspach led the seminoles to a national championship.
COLUMBIA, Mo. – The University of Missouri track and field program has brought in Ethan Bray as an assistant coach to oversee the pole vault event, head coach Brett
They have a LONG way to go to compete in the SEC, but this is actually an interesting move. There is an elite youth PV group near kansas city that has produced a lot of national caliber talent in state...maybe they hope to build a bit of a niche program that can capitalize on those in-state connections?

You can pay 12 coaches now, why not hire a PV coach if you have the budget?
