I see Ben Felton's missus has quit her job to work for him full time. Personally I would like one of the household to be earning regular money. They are 1 injury or end of running boom away from bankruptcy

In all honesty, they don't have kids and probably rent. She'll save on the commute, which is about £6k a year to London! I can't imagine she was earning a huge amount as a fashion designer. It's not like Kofuz, Flowberg, Matt, and Kellogs, who neglect parenting for Strava kudos.
If, in my 20s, I could do this - I'd jump at the opportunity. Why not travel the world at the expense of shoe and supplement brands?
On a side point! I still don't understand why Ben is testing his lactate levels. In the video he says something along the lines of my lactate levels should be 2 mmol/L and "they are down a bit from the last time I did this workout, this means I am getting fitter". Just looking at pace/perceived effort or heart rate could tell you this! Perhaps it can be used to tweak LT1 stimulus, but these guys just seem to use it as a running fitness indicator (Matt does the same).
Hope Cole smashes Ben is Begging and Bester at London marathon.
lad gets very little credit but is the peoples champ in comparison to the other 2.
Bester - city boy selling copy & paste training plans to happy clappy fun runners
Ben is Begging -- would advertise a pair of Lonsdale trackies and Slazenger sneekers for a free lunch, guy is an utter irritant and professional begger
As london marathon approaches, i keep having my feeds clogged with her "amazing" story of going from fun runner to elite runner (i do not class 2:35 or whatever she ran as elite). Same sh1t drilled out year after year
Since her and Bester ended there "coaching relationship," her performances have fallen off a cliff and i see her abysmal youtube channel has been deleted. Will we get the full story of how shes gone from a sub elite trotter back to full blown fun runner as that appears to be the direction shes going
Met him a few times briefly - always seemed like a nice guy. Glad that his training and approach has paid off, rather than letting content drive what he does seems to prioritise his bigger picture running and work life which I can get behind.
If he can keep putting the work in he seems on course for the sub 2:20 crack, although it's always a big step up for your first marathon.
To give Cole massive credit, if you follow up on Strava it's amazing how controlled his threshold should reps are (5:30/mile ish) for someone of his ability. He definitely doesn't have an ego blocking him executing a training plan (which absolutely working as per 29:45ish 10k).
He seems to have good turnover (400m repeat speed) which his done/doing well to convert. I was a bit unsure on the sub 2:20 target at beginning but think his training, looking on Strava, looks near perfect. I expect him to do it tbh.
Discipline normally pays off.
Just as a little reality check:
1) The man has literally driven himself to 2x bone injuries due to poor nutrition and overtraining, from chasing Youtube content (and admitted to doing so).
2) Many of his easy runs are too quick, he regularly is commenting how he's done sessions at the wrong paces from getting carried away and makes poor emotion-driven training decisions (like the unplanned 21M workout last week, followed by another session the day after, followed by a LR to top him up to 200K/week for no reason at all). The recent appearance of more controlled threshold work is only due to the fact he is trialling double-threshold training, which is..... for content purposes
He seems like a nice enough lad but however introspective he wants to be in some of his videos, year on year he never actually takes onboard any of the harsh lessons he has learnt so his channel turns into an ongoing cycle of notable performance to injury/burnout and repeat.

you've basically got it covered already
No longer with Bester handing her training + full 26.2M pacing on a plate = 0 motivation to train properly and instead focus on being social-media 'famous', advertise working at 'runna' and get distracted by sidequests (triathlon etc) which make for fun IG posts but contribute 0 toward her "elite" marathon career

Everyone just randomly stabbing themselves for lactate testing drives me insane. It's something you should check regularly in a lab or very controlled environment so you know what your levels mean, it's impacted by a million other things other than just 'fitness', and you may as well see how far you can throw a stick and decide based on that.
What is the point of Fordy Runs? He is currently training, obviously badly, for the London Marathon. Is he going all out? Nope, just 20 miles at "goal pace" before backing off and saving it for Chicago. Is he scared to try for a PB? What a waste of all the free shoes and bibs he gets
Some enjoy the challenges and the clickbait material but it gets very tiring. It’s hard to find the raw material out there. I’ve enjoyed Clayton Young’s channel and now stumbled upon Sean Tobin’s channel (might need anubti for the Irish accent) and I’m hooked. The production of these are fantastic. I enjoyed Sean’s latest and it’s great to see something different from the U.S scene.
Cole Gibbons: So I looked through his training as whole (rather than just a few ad-hoc individual sessions) and maybe it's not so perfect as I made out originally. I still stand by the threshold sessions look good and think he'll do the sub 2:20.
Don't think there's a need to bash the lad. The fact he's admitted mistakes is admirable, most people (YTbers and non YT folk like me) don't admit they were ever wrong. Half of addressing an issue, is admitting you have one.
Must be lucky (for some on here) being perfect all the time and never making a training mistake.

Smart. I tempo'd my local turkey trot last year, saving it for Berlin this year
