Attorney General Pam Bondi disclosed that Trump’s efforts to interdict fentanyl have, in just 100 days, "saved — are you ready for this, media? — 258 million lives." 76% of the US population was saved from fentanyl in 100 days? Jesus. F*cking. Christ. How stupid is she? How did nobody in Trump's cabinet - supposedly intelligent people - not look at her and say, "No, you dumb b*tch. That's wrong." Are they too stupid? Do they just not care? The Trump cabinet must have a combined IQ in the low single digits. There is no other explanation for just how f*cking incompetent they are.

The Most incompetent and unqualified presidential cabinet in history. Anyone that can watch that North Korea style public debasement in service of a corrupt, incompetent and deranged dictator and still believe this country is on the right track is gone.

But we saw that cringe stuff in Trump 1.0 and it was still not enough to disgust Americans.

have feelings of benevolence, empathy, and brotherhood toward other humans
and resist autocracy.

This is another one where, while the main point about the centrality of cruelty and domination in the ethos of Trumpettes is correct, the understanding of history is abominable.

The "pagan ethos", if we allow ourselves to use that term, has historically been far more grounded in enlightenment and empathy than Christianity. This fact has been covered up to the extent possible by the group that "won", Christians.

y'all should read the column to understand what brooks means by 'pagan'. From the piece:

I'd imagine that most of these Dems/libs would accept martial law if the USA were being invaded by the military forces of a neighboring country, a country that had already conquered a substantial swath of American territory.

The worship of Trump is absolutely nuts.

There's no problem with it at all. That's the amount of fentanyl they caught. After all, the lethal dose of fentanyl is 2 mg.

This "worship of Trump" and "Russia has infiltrated the White House" and "Trump is doing Putin's dirty work" is so bogus and made up by you Libs/Dems. 99% of we conservatives don't worship or even particularly like the guy. We just prefer his policies over the radical left policies (eg., open border)of the Dems. Get you sh*t together and put forth a moderate Dem and we could get behind him or her.

Unfortunately, we are arguing with people who are told daily by their so called news source that they are victims of some great injustice, and therfore it is ok to be a tyrant. Neither thing is remotely true. They know this but they are angry about poor governing. Their solution is to support much worse governing that they cannot control.

Trump supporters live in a bubble of false equivalance. Zelenskyy is terrible because they believe Russian paid influencers and Trump who repeats the same. At the same time, Trump tells them he doesn't have to follow court orders, people don't have constitutional protections if they speak against him, and they can be deported without charges or hearings to a concentration camp. They are fine with all of that.
