In all this like and dislike from a few interactions, alot is subjective and situational.
If you surveyed 100 people about me or you, they'd be some weren't enthused but it's about what the majority think.
I think alot of people can be edgy pre and in race. If you've ever played football, some people are absolutely d**ks on the pitch (even as team mates) and loveliest people outside it.
Unless everyone (or majority) is saying the same thing, then I think it's unfair to bash people or sample size of 1,2 or 3. Nick Bester (who I'm ok with) does seem to have majority rubbed up the wrong way. Matt Rees on the other hand, is genuinely nice, friendly and kind man to me. I know lots agree, and have said the same but of course a few will not mesh with him.
Life would be boring if we all liked the same people. I don't like 100% of people and accept 100% of people don't like me.
One more point is I've met a few runners and after a few interactions I've though they're absolutely c***s and not for me. 10 interactions later and they're nice people, who just put a bit of a fascade on race day/to new people. It's a mentally rough world out there.
