You do not know what you're talking about. He's out of jail for now. He is going to spend many years in prison. That possibility has not gone away. How many conspiracy theories do you believe in?
The organisation’s secretary general, Kevin Casas-Zamora, said: “The visible deterioration of democracy in the United States, as seen in the increasing tendency to contest credible election results, the efforts to suppress participation (in elections), and the runaway polarisation ... is one of the most concerning developments.”
So how does that address the claim by Civil Liberties International that there is "a visible deterioration of democracy in the US"? (They don't appear at all concerned about NZ, which ranks far above the US as a functioning democracy at second in the world). Your deflection never ends. You are as big a loser as "adult" - and that's saying something.
1) First of all, I couldn't care less WHY Trump took these documents (well, it IS a bigger deal if he did so to sell to foreign countries, but as far as legally, I don't care).
2) He STOLE documents that did not belong to him (kind of the definition of "stole.").
3) He was asked as a courtesy to please return those documents. If you or I had stolen top secret and classified documents, our doors would have been busted in and our faces pushed into the floor, handcuffed and taken away until a judge decided if we could be out on bail or not.
4) Trump returned some of the documents. As if they wouldn't notice that he didn't return them all.
5) He was issued a subpoena that he ignored.
6) Discussions with Trump and his lawyers to get back the remaining material went no where.
7) He was issued a second subpoena that he ignored.
8) Search warrant sought, granted and served.
How is it that you defend this behavior? It is bad no matter WHAT the documents are...they are things that belong to The United States Government, NOT Donald POS Trump. The fact that they are classified and top secret and include nuclear weapons info makes this really really bad.
I am dead serious here...how can you possibly defend this action by Trump? No deflecting...you can't anyway, because there has NEVER been a President or former President who has done anything remotely approaching this.
How is it ok that he took these materials (a TON of materials, not just a couple things...boxes and boxes of stuff that DID NOT BELONG TO HIM)? How is it ok that he ignored two subpoenas to return this material.

You don't even have free speech in NZ or many of countries ahead of the US on your idiotic list.
Having other stupid people agree with you just means your stupidity isn't rare. It doesn't validate your opinions.
I'm in the same boat, Carmine. I could reveal the REAL Truth about the rats in the Trump Compound, and the nature of the classified documents at Mar-El-Bango, but doing so would get me a lifetime ban on message boards across this great, god-fearing nation of ours.
But we can bet. The mods allow bets. They encourage bets of the kind I have proposed and that you have tacitly accepted. We have agreed that if Weisselberg is incarcerated for his felonialism, that you will self-ban yourself for a lifetime. (Entered into 8/19/22).
Weisslberg ain't going to jail.
Have you not been paying attention?
No, I haven't been paying attention much. I spent much of the last week boozing it up in Ciudad Juarez. I think I saw J. Christ in an albondiga.
But you have been paying attention. You are always on top of this stuff. And, armed with your knowledge of the situation, you have now doubled down on your prediction that Weisselberg will not be going to jail or prison or be serving any term of incarceration. We can only conclude you have agreed (again) to the bet/wager -- you will self-ban yourself permanently if Weisselberg is incarcerated.
We are going to hold you to this agreement, Carmine9. A deal is a deal. This is America. The art of the deal.

The only response you are going to get is "Hillary's emails" and "Obama did it too, but much worse." They believe it is justified because their twitter feed says others did it too without consequence. The kind of logic that will no doubt Make America Great Again.
OT, but interesting re RusherGate. Are we going to see Barr's rationale for NOT charging Trump with obstruction of justice after Mueller documented the crimes so nicely?
The Justice Department must make public an internal legal memo commissioned by then-Attorney General William Barr in 2019 to analyze whether he should charge then-President Donald Trump with obstruction related to the Russia...

This is the Trump Doomsday scenario. When your own family rats you out to the Feds, you may as well fluff the pillows.
It can't be. It just can't be. I mean, the Unabomber's brother ratted him out to the Feds, but that was because the Unabomber was a total jagoff. That was an isolated case of internecine rattism. It couldn't happen in the Trump family, with him as the benevolent patriarch. That Don Jr. is a slippery little, weak chinned fvck, but I can't even see him going this far.
I think it is likely that a family member is at least one of the rats. I've thought Melania was the most likely, but other family members also stand to gain from Donald's incarceration.
I'm not sure I buy the logic in the article though. It says staff think the FBI wouldn have needed help to find a certain leather satchel and the safe. I kind of doubt that. The FBI is pretty good at finding things in a search. And if reports that the FBI had access to Trump's own security cameras, then they could have know the location of everything from that.
But again, a family member is the most likely rat because they have the most to gain.
