29 pts and majority from field. no good has come in recent years.

I should of clarified, XC has had those gains.

Admin must have been in love with him- I heard some names that applied and didn't get an interview.....like hall of fame type names. Crazy.

Hawaii is a tough place to travel from but I would think with the right recruiting approach and logistical planning, you could make it go. Never more than a middle of the road track program but distance mostly- yeah I could see it.

-doubt it will happen though.

Does anyone know what happened at The University of Maryland Eastern Shore's program?

They probably got let go for illegaly recruiting current ncaa athletes. They had a ga stalk freshmen and soph on facebook that had made ncaa's and straight up offered them scholarship money to transfer. One of most brazen things ive ever seen.

With many of the job postings stating a start date of 8/1, you would think these positions will be filled in the next week or so. Do schools usually do this last minute every year?

They do understand people have to move and find a place to live, etc?

Talked to half a dozen other schools in the conference and umes hit them all. I have several screen shots of the facebook posts.

This is why these positions are going to be filled by single men because whose wives are going to want to move last minute? Such a pain. If starting date is really 8/1 then good luck to those coaches with a family it's not realistic.

This is why men with families generally leave the profession, or just start and stay in high school coaching. Security and $$. Unless your spouse is a doc, lawyer or trust fund baby, the salary most of the assistant jobs offer is stupid low.

I had to leave the profession couple years ago. Wife wasn't thrilled of moving a lot plus the salary was a joke. Can't afford that with 2 little ones and a stay home mom.

Received permission to contact forms from two kids In the same conference that had mentioned that some of their teammates were being poached. Wasn't sure what to believe until the second athlete told me the same exact thing without me asking. Very strange indeed.

GA State's new assistant is Kyle Stevenson. Was a D2 assistant at Saint Martin's University
