He's sick of the whole business, and he just wants it to *be over*. Because of that, he's made some decisions that I think are unwise.
But that doesn't mean that he's been some slick, scheming co-conspirator with the Russians. So many people have told us that Trump is impulsive, that he makes snap decisions, that he doesn't think long-term, etc. And I basically agree with that assessment.
So then how can you possibly *also* think that he somehow cooked up a subtle, months- or years-long plot to "steal" the election? How do you reconcile those two propositions in your mind?
That's pretty simple.
Trump didn't have to cook up a subtle, long plot. He wouldn't have to plan anything.
He simply could have gone along with the Russian plot as it came to him.
They offer dirt on Hillary. He tells Jr to take it.
That's impulsive AND conspiring.
Or they show video of him with Russian prostitutes and he goes along with what they want.
Or- he hires someone like Manafort, who has Russian connections, and let's him conspire.
Or sends Flynn to talk.
It's perfectly reasonable to think Trump can be impulsive and simultaneously be opportunistic to conspire when convenient.
