2013 College Coaching Positions Open(ing)

Are you legitimately calling Vanhoy a coaching "poser" Please tell me how many sub 13:30 guys you have coached?

I never said he was the next Mark Wetmore.

If you read what I wrote you would know that I respond to the idiot saying Vanhoy sucked as a runner so he'll suck as a coach. I responded by saying there were many coaches who were not world class runners such as MARK WETMORE!

What you're saying is most successful distance coaches have shown previous ability, correct? Does that mean all coaches need to be stud runners...nope

Ex. John Hayes coached multiple all-americans and didn't do much on the XC course or track.

You can rip on Vanhoy all you want but only time will tell if the guy can develop distance runners.

The skinny was that the 2 primary candidates were Brian Olinger and Sarah Vergote. Don't know where it's gone from there, but time would seem to be an issue.

Our sport is the only one who gives a shit what the coach's stats were. Who cares? Ask Mike Krzyzewski how many times he has dunked the basketball in traffic over 7'1" guys from Lithuania. (spoiler alert: zero)

then ask him how many nets he has cut down.

Perhaps I should clarify... When I wrote that time would be an issue, I should have written the world "timing" as in the season is starting soon and having a coach in would appear to be an advantage to the athletes.My apologies for any confusion created, but that was a nice rant.
