We get it , you love minority hires. From this years postings and the other one you obviously have no idea who or what is and is not a good coach in the college scene, just give it a rest. People call out bad hires of all races and sexes on here, you don't need to ride for a below average one just because of their skin color or gender.
I just really think it's time we accept that our profession is about who you know and not what you know. For those coaches complaining about these hires being unfair (which i don't blame you), go to the convention and have a conversation with these director and head coaches and make these connection, it might not be on a personal level but you at least have a name to a face for Athlete Tracking Software. If you're a good coach it's not goin to go unnoticed but Director and Head Coaches hire people who they can trust and work with.
As the 2024 season approaches, I'm curious about the open coaching positions across college track and field programs. Are there any notable universities or colleges with significant coaching vacancies this year? What trends are we seeing in coaching hires, and are there specific programs that are investing heavily in their track and field departments? Additionally, how might these changes impact the recruiting landscape for athletes? Any insights or leads on where to find the most current listings would be greatly appreciated. Looking forward to your thoughts and any information you can share!

Your post reads like it's chatgpt lol. Many of the jobs this year seem like they're word-of-mouth only. Seems like an increasing trend as time goes by.

Vanderbilt has their guy already, it was mentioned earlier in the thread. Theres also a second coming in to replace Mulzer, but unsure of who that will be

Dramatic drop in the XC program? The same program that got second to DFL in the Sun Belt this year? Where is there to drop to? What world do you live in?
