Congrats to him! He produced a 1:48 guy this past year (in additional to many other national qualifiers and All-Americans) with not many facilities and resources... great recruiter as well. He will bring in some quality student-athletes. He's done a great job at his stops at Montreat and Tennessee Wesleyan... He is definitely ready for the jump. And he's far from a "badazz" as you claim... guy is one of the nicest people I've met. Happy for the him and happy to see that regardless of what level you coach at, if you are successful and continue to put in the work, others will notice. Hard work, knowledge of the sport, and passion can go a long way

No way Gavin Kennedy leave Wisconsin for Drake. Carroll doesn't have that type of money at Drake.

Carroll will probably hire his wife for the women's assistant position and then maybe one of his former athletes for the men's assistant position.

...Or Caroll just works in a head track coach capacity overseeing everything, because they already have a (better) distance coach who I'd be utterly amazed if they demoted given his record (and an assistant coach who worked mostly with the women). Any new head coach if they have the administration Ok can clean house. Regardless of event background it happens most of the time.

Leave that to them , people here should stop pretending like you know a dang thing on whats going on.

With that being said it didnt look like the old Drake staff was breaking their back to have a successful team.

It was time for a welcoming change, they'll get better

This is an incredible contradiction. How can you say people shouldn't pretend to know what's going on, then immediately turn around and pretend to know how the Drake staff approached their job? Either you're a troll or you're an idiot.

Unlike you, I was there for four years, and I'll tell you that with the laughably limited resources the AD/administration gave them, the (previous) staff did a great job with it. Track/XC is ironically neglected by the AD/administration and yet they were still one of the better teams there.

Nothing against Carroll personally, I'm just disappointed in the direction Drake is taking this.

Dude, the fact that Drake track programs suck is public information. Men dead last , women just missing on the last place in a weak conference. Why arent you disappointed with that ? Thats bellow being mediocre, but congrats!
