You have me mistaken with some other poster. I am white, but I'm certainly not a liberal and I've spoken to probably thousands of black people in my life.
I've talked a lot of people in the last 4 years about politics, including a lot of black people where I work downtown and also in the neighborhood. I don't know where you're getting your information from, but I'm telling you that black people can't stand Trump. A lot of people can't stand him, but I've noticed that black people are hardcore about it. I really don't know where the hate comes from, but its there. Go ask the black people you know what they think of Trump. You're in for some heat.

But point is, massive momentum shift. The problem was Joe and that impediment is gone. Remember that there are more Dems than Rs. Also remember that Rs have no strategy other than 'put DJT in front of a microphone and let him entertain the red hats.' Rs are absolutely reeling right now. And it's a one-man show so they have no backup if Trump can't figure it out.
And there really is no future for the GOP because there are no more conservatives left to pivot or rebuild. The party is just full of trumpers and none of them can replicate his success holding a solid minority based on populism. It's gonna be beautiful if the whole thing crashes down on them in Nov.

Obama won not by having white non-college educated voters (Trump voters primarily) cross over and vote for him. He won by greatly expanding the voting base. We are seeing this happen again.
Trump can't pivot. He does not know what pivot means. If his people tell him how to pivot, he won't listen.
Trump missed an opportunity. The first 10 minutes of his RNC speech looked like he was going to possibly clean house by pivoting to collect on some national sympathy for his assassination attempt, but he couldn't do it. He returned to himself. A 78 year old weird and angry guy that people feel needs to be in the nut house.
