The "dehydration" study was "Oliveira RA, Sierra APR, Benetti M, Ghorayeb N, Sierra CA, Kiss MAPDM, Cury-Boaventura MF" What do you want me to say? I've told you many times that "intensity" is the important variable, not temperature. A 6 minute effort at 90% VO2max in 23 C is sufficient to produce more than 10% effect, before any fluid loss through sweat. This is why Paula "lying" about temperature is a red herring. Marathons are not as intense as an elite half-marathon or 10K. Nor are World Cups.

A little clarification on this point. This is going to be repetitive for some:
There are two tests:
Test 1, blood test, aka bio-passport:
These are rarely done in competition, and even more rarely done out of competition. All one needs to do is go to altitude to run EPO. Altitude throws the values that the bio-passport tracks "out the window" even for a clean athlete. Add EPO and blood scores are still crazy. Hence the frequent use of "altitude camps" by cheaters. Lay off the EPO for a few days before coming back down to sea level and test clean with amazing endurance.
Test 2, urine test:
What's understood is the urinalysis test for the presence of EPO metabolites (???) is ridiculously easy to defeat. Based on cheating data, 48 hours seems to be enough to pass the urinalysis test. Also it's understood there are generic variations of EPO that are undetectable as the "signature" is different.
Only a complete idiot, or a corrupt federation turning an athlete positive for profit would fail the urinalysis test by running EPO going into an event. It wouldn't even have an effect according to therapeutic research.
If only the IOC sports like the IAAF and cycling weren't so addicted to all the benefits of doping.

Indeed, this would be an excellent Avenue for further research.
The problem is is often poorly constructed studies get published that muddy the waters. Back in the 1970s many studies concluded blood transfusions had no benefit, whereas it does give at least a 2% advantage. That is part of the reason why it took until the mid 1980s to get banned. I bet that this happened with Actovegin, unimaginative studies said it did nothing yet people like Victor Conte say it is a PED.
Interestingly she said in the BBC interview that she will probably release the data when it is safe to do so and no other athlete is endangered by it (whatever that means)

Perhaps she is worried about others copying her mastery of blood transfusions and perhaps kill themselves.

Reading people complain about the difficulties of grokking a twitter thread, I thought to myself, "How hard can it really be?" and tried to follow the Paula/Ross thread.
I have never seen a more convoluted, ill-designed medium for threaded conversations. I had nothing but anxiety and a sense of being lost the entire time.
This is a classic case of Twitter being a victim of its own success; its earlier simplicity (character limits, and #hashtag reference for joining the conversation) simply does not scale to what they're trying to twist it into.
Get rid of all that threaded crap and make threaded conversations a separate interface that's actually designed for, y'know, threaded conversations.
I think the problem may be that Paula regretted what she said and deleted her tweets, leaving nothing but Tucker's replies. I'm not an expert, but it seems that she has a habit of making public statements about doping that she shouldn't make, and that she can't or won't follow through on.
Also , she deleted her tweets asking for full transparency . Now that the full AlSal report is out , her argument is not the contents of what NOP were doing , but she is pushing an unprovable motive argument.
