Wow you like dead people more than 100 years old, no wonder you and your many men friends are such loooosers.
You sound desperate, kid. Must feel horrible when everybody in this thread is laughing at you.

Was your mom really 85 years old when she gave birth to you? That must be some kind of record!

I sure nailed it right the first time about you.
Is Walmsley talking too much?

I'd love to see a video of that.

It's the Kilian strategy. He runs his comfortable pace, then waits around for the others resting and refueling. Hard to run a pace so slow you aren't comfortable. I like it.
Walmsley is still leading at Les Chapieux. 4:53:03
Jeff Browning more than an hour back with 05:48:16 in 43th position.
Will be interesting to see what will happen later in the race.
Browning is out of his league in this year's event. Even with the impending blow ups, he's out of contention for a top ten. There's just so much talent in this field.
Dylan Bowman and Tim Tollefson have moved steadily through the field, up to 5th and 6th. 35 minutes back.
David Laney seems to be having a solid day, but he's got lots of work to do. Zach Miller maybe starting to implode.
Walmsley drops to 3rd at 110k. He says he's regrouping, but he looks like it's gonna get rough. D'haene and Killian rolling!
Walmsley isrsigned to not winning at 110k. He'll be lucky to finish.
Told ya, bro. Walmsley's got zero discipline. Overtrained and lacked lifestyle discipline into and after Western States. Trained like a f'in fool leading into UTMB. His face shows what it did to him: gaunt and depressed.

You idiots need to give it a rest, and perhaps try running yourselves.
Kilian is letting the Frenchman diddle around in front for a few more miles as the sun rises, but for everyone not named "Jornet" it's all over except the crying....
+1

I'm a big fan of races that are trying to create competitive fields, giving elites preferred status and easy access to races.
I am very bothered by races that intentionally keep out fast guys who want to show up and race but can't gain entry.
Races need to allow the best competitors to compete. Otherwise it's a vanity sport.
Is Walmsley out?
I find it interesting as to how the euro's like Francois and Killian seem to dominate these races on much less structured training regimes and obsession with mileage than the Americans. I don't get why Walmsley would throw in a couple 130+ mile weeks plus 30,000 feet of climbing leading up to UTMB. Francois was probably picking grapes in his vineyard for the past few weeks to taper, while Killian ate tasty pastries made by Emelie and did a couple 2 mile runs with 3000 feet of climbing (kidding). But check their strava's and they definitely do seem to acknowledge rest and recovery to a good degree.
Seems to me like the whole American lineup is overtraining to some level.
