Here's the easy question: would you be okay letting intersex/hermaphroditite/XXY box women?

Because I guarantee you, caster would punch above her weight.

Honestly, all of these pro-caster, pro-XXY rights arguments just seem ludicrous to me. At some point society just needs to say, "you know what, too bad. We are going to argue in favor of the 99.9 percent"

What are you talking about Sharp and Bishop have been training for years, slowly improving from good HS runner, to college runners and then professional runners. For Melissa about 12 years.

Semenya ran a couple of HS races and then at 18 showed up to the World Champs and won the gold. Do a little research before making stupid statements.

Not that I disagree, but you're saying melissa might not be the most talented, but has worked hard over a long period. So, a female with more talent could run faster with the same or less talent... which could be caster. Or there could be a female our there that could best caster, but just didn't devote their life to running.

I also see his point that in men's athletics, there is no working your way to the top if you're not the most genetically talented.

All this talk is making Caitlyn Jenner's gold medal in MEN'S Decathlon look waaaaaay more impressive.

So you are saying Caster was going to be a man and didn't quite make it to manhood so instead is left somewhere in between a man and a woman. If this is true, in no way should she be competing against women. She is intersex, not female.

So as well as Muir breaking the rules at the trials to get in the 800 last minute, she now breaks British athletics rules again by not running the Euro 800 but only the 1500, reason her Achilles flared up, really ?

She didn't run the 15 and the British Athletics Rules rules were very clear, you had to run your event unless you double. She isn't so by their own rules shouldn't be running the 1500 in the Europeans.

Think a few people knew she was never going to double, that's why they were so annoyed she messed up the 800 at the trials.

I believe the rules clearly state "all decisions are at the discretion of the selectors".

They have the final say, and that's the only rule that matters.

They would have though to amend their own rules , if they have they should send them out.

Rules state ;

Athletes must

a. Compete in the event in which they wish to be selected at the British Athletics Championships with the following exceptions (combined event athletes must compete in the British Athletics Championships in at least one individual event):

i. Athletes in the long distance events of 10,000m, Marathon, 20km Race

Walk and 50km Race Walk; and

ii. Athletes who may want to double up at the European Athletics

Championships, do not have to compete in their second event at the British

Athletics Championships. Athletes must inform the Selection Panel (“the

Panel”) prior to the selection meeting of their desire to double up and in

which events. The Panel will consider any athletes second event as a

discretionary selection in round 2 as described in paragraph 1.8

And as for inflamed achilles over the Anniversary weekend ! The now selected 800 runner didn't run at Anniversary games "run off" so obviously knew she was in the team. So British Athletics would seem to be psychic as well

Perhaps the "gender baffled" should be dedicating their time and efforts to the treatment and healing of their illness, rather than training for hours and hours toward obtaining ill-gained, meaningless accolades in an unfair game.
