On a separate note, who's "Bob"?
Bob Bodkin, the race director. Read through the thread on facebook

Ah - thks.
My advice to Jill, should she be reading:
First, some info cut and pasted from the Cherry Blossom site:
"American Development Prize Money: A total of $25,000 in prize money will be awarded in 2016 to the top 10 U.S. men and women as detailed below. "Double dipping" is permitted, so anyone finishing in the top 10 overall and in the top 10 among U.S. runners may collect both the open and the U.S. awards. There is also a $10,000 American record bonus for the first American man or woman to break Greg Meyer’s American record of 46:13, set here in 1983, or Janet Bawcom’s single-sex American record of 52:12, set here in 2014; the $10,000 bonus will be split if two new American records are set at the 2016 race. "
With the above in mind, I suggest that Jill tempo the Quakertown race, going for a relatively easy 54 minutes. Then use that time to get into CB (I'm sure they'll let you in if you have a valid 54 minute 10 mile race time) and go for the AR at Cherry Blossom. Why pass up all that cash?
Judging from the Cherry Blossom language, looks like you do need to be in a single sex race to set the AR - are they going to give Jill a separate start at Quakertown?
