Actually, I've found that only the yuppies could afford to replace their minimalist shoes when they wore out. Most BCR's I've known got something like the Pegasus and wore them into the ground.

Dan browne was a military man and could dismantle wejo in about 5 seconds in a fist fight. He could also lap him in an honest to god 10k. Yeah before you say "well his PR in the 10 wasn't that great, and weej wasn't that far behind" remember, he never ran it like he ran that f*ckin' mary. If he was dead set on running the 10 in Europe, he could have gotten down in the low 27's but it didn't happen and its one of the things that should have. Wejo would loose in a fight, in world knowledge, in a race BADLY, and probably with the ladies. Dan Browne is a man's man. Wejo, what the F*ck is that? Sounds like some Brazilian Sock company.

I need to point out that neither of the Brojos is remotely a blue collar runner. Here are some Yuppie tidbits---altitude training base in Flagstaff--yuppie. Massage and active release therapy--yuppie. Pacing others in big races--um, yuppie. Having one's own self-indulgent running website--yuppie. Identifying oneself as a blue collar runner when obviously a yuppie runner--yuppie!
What do you do for a living?
YR: Run for the USA, living in an Olympic Development facility...stuff like that.
BCR: Wash dishes in a resturaunt, cart dead bodies around in a morgue, wipe old geezers asses, drive fork lifts..stuff like that.
I'd don't like to offend people, whenever possible, so I won't give yuppy runner examples, but some classic BCR's are definately Beardsley and Rogers and just about every runner from 1970 to 1980. But this could be coming straight out of my ass, too.
