Well, quite easily the temperature can differ inside and outside the stadium.
Meaning: You both can be right!!
Vent, you can imagine that shadow and built of the stadium can result in a different temperature than in some area without shadow, probably paved??

Thanks. Clears that up and shows Ventolin was utterly wrong. Can't remember the time of the 800 final BST, but think it was about 7:00pm, meaning the temp was around 23C / 73F.

What's BST?
Thermometers on a wrist watch are often incorrect unless you remove them. The heat from your wrist typically produces a higher than correct reading.
Ventolin, sometimes you post somethings that are interesting, even insightful, but arguing about recorded and documented temperatures on the grounds of your wrist watch reading that you're now recalling from memory nearly 2 years later is a little bit crazy. Expecting people to take you seriously on this is downright insane.
